Andy Tansey RIP

News has just reached me that fellow Hibby Andy Tansey has died in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia on March 17.

Don't have any other details, but Andy who used to live in the Albert Street area and frequent what was the Clan Tavern, was one of the very early members of the Oz branch.

He worked in the mines in Kalgoorlie and I guess would have been in the region of 70 now.

He made frequent trips back to see the Hibs, andin the pre internet days I would get a call in Sydney every Sunday morning enquiring after the Hibs result.

Lost contact in recent years with him,but condolences to any friends or relatives back in Edinburgh.

I'm sorry to hear that and condolences to his family and friends. RIP Andy.

I often met Andy on his trips back to Leith. A really good guy and sad news indeed!!
