Bring it ****ing on.
Agree, I too need a rest after this week. The team deserve it after a fantastic run of form since January.
If Celtic win the cup (fingers crossed) then it'll just be a brief one, so hopefully we can get some players nailed down on a return contract to the Hibees!
well this went well.
Looking forward to next season and I'm sure we'll be ready to kick on again.
Like others though much as I love Hibs and my day at the football I do enjoy the few weeks break. Family Saturdays out, getting up mountains and the odd beer garden. It's why I, completely selfishly, don't fancy summer football.
Can't wait,but after today,I need a break.
When who where ...... pre season friendlies :greengrin:greengrin
Either way we'll have an early start.
If Celtic win the cup, we'll play the first leg of our European tie on 12th July and if Motherwell win the cup, we'll start the League Cup on 14th July.
The only difference is, if we get knocked out of Europe in the first round, we'll have a couple of weeks' rest before the league season starts. If we are playing in the League Cup then we'll be playing in that right up until the season starts.
Need a rest. Lots of emotion and speculation flying about.NL looks like a man that needs a rest. Everyone needs to chill for a week or so.
The focus is on Leanne and George over May and June. They will know what level of season tickets are coming in given we have sold well over 10k already. They now know our final position and on Saturday evening will know if we are in Europe (more income but earlier start). They also know there best manager we have had in years is a little unsettled and will need very strong replacement players and/or securing contracts for loan players. This summer can’t hinge only on getting a bidding war re McGinn going into August.
World Cup a month away so Scottish Cup, champions league and a couple of weeks later 3 games a day in World Cup! Then new season kicks off.
Agree with a lot of that. Some potentially great footie to look forward to in the next few weeks.
Re. the Lennon situation, I wonder if he just might have been more likely to walk had we finished second? After all, where does he go after that? Whereas now, he has something to aim for and, what's more, he knows it is achievable.
I really hope he stays and he can bring in some quality; if so, think Hibs could be buzzing next season!
Many thanks to Lenny, the team, Leanne and all at ER for making this season so good. TBH, all I was hoping for at the beginning was that we were well out of the dog-eat-dog relegation zone and maybe making it into the top six.
We have well surpassed that and with the style befitting Hibernian FC.
Someone mentioned a pre season friendly against Accrington Stanley today, that would be nice if its away.
Stuff having a rest, I've loved every minute of this season and I'm gutted it's over! Absolutely roll on next season!
