Great.
We have one goalie, and on the first day of training, we start a thread demanding his sacking. I really wonder sometimes why anyone would want to play in front of our supporters. ![]() BTW - you forgot Noubissie, Sowumni and Kerr, and who's HKF? ![]() "The good fighters of old first put themselves beyond the possibility of defeat, and then waited for an opportunity of defeating the enemy...." ![]() IIRC, Donaldson, Courier and Joneleit went before last season started, Morais and Gattuessi went at the start of this year and AOB went yesterday! ![]() Maka will go on to prove himself as one of the best keepers Hibs have ever had IMO! ![]() PS You got nothing to do today?

I hope we sign someone to compete with Maka, but he'd still be my first choice.
His critics ignore the simple facts. Look at his 'goals against' record for the last two seasons, compare it with the rest in the SPL and then tell me he's as bad as you make out. |

Sooner the football season starts and attention seeking posts like this are a distant memory the better! One thing trying to engineer debate but another for the same people to come out with the same tired stuff over and over again.

Yup. I wouldn't want to go into the season with only Maka as goalkeeper. We need someone else - not as back-up but as competition. A more experienced senior keeper would be good, simply because he would help Maka to grow and develop as a player. The situation we had at the end of last season with Maka and Sxamo working together was the desired option, IMO. What IS worrying me now is that Hughes and the players aren't even going to get a couple of months to get things moving - vultures are circling already.... ![]() "The good fighters of old first put themselves beyond the possibility of defeat, and then waited for an opportunity of defeating the enemy...." As long as we get another goalie in. Sorry, but for me Maka isnt good enough yet anyway. A lot of mistakes and i just don't fell all that comfortable with him in goals.

Maka's antics (and that is the only way to describe it) against Aberdeen convinced me that we need an SPL standard keeper.

Churchy we should just hoof Hoggy as well eh, may aswell not have any promising young players such as him and Maka.
Fact is if Maka played for a different team he wouldn't be half as chastised as he is by said pedantic supporters. |

Makalamby and Hogg have their moments but their concentration level is poor, you could argue they are both young, i think both are liabilities, of course you have to replace them before you can move them on. |
