  1. The man in the Lay-by on the A9

Anyone who has travelled the A9 past Blair Atholl a few years ago may have been aware of a man camping in Lay-by 52, just south of the House of Bruar. He was there as a protest but was evicted in 2015. Well today he was removed again. I have to say I didn't know his whole story, but I was sent a...

  3. The DUP

I've not seen much of the news in the last 2 days, has anything been made of their controversial views and the fact that they now have a significant influence on U.K. politics.

What do people reckob of the proposed changes? If i understand it right, its a tax cut for the lowest bands (effectively) but a rise fir anyone earning over 33k and somr new bands. In the context that a tax rise seemed inevitable, it seems not a bad compromise - however im not sure i agree...

  9. Attempted New York bombing

A sign of the times I guess but surprised there's not already a thread on this. Guy tried to blow himself up during rush hour in the corridor/tunnel that connects PA bus station with the subway. Could have left 100s dead or injured if he'd been successful. Scary stuff.
