    She was sued by Jack Monroe and she lost. Monroe wins 24000, but Hopkins' also has to pay Montoe's legal costs. I'm not sure which legal firm she used, but they're costing Hopkins 300k. On top of that there will be Hopkins' own legal fees. I considered posting this in the good news stories...

    Now I've got your attention I have come across this interesting article that proposes a random selection of ordinary people becomes the parliament. Imagine if we chose a bunch of randomly selected people, put them in parliament, and asked them to make the laws for the next couple of years....

    Should voting be compulsory? I personally think it should be but then again I regard myself as a socialist, the left being the side that would would gain from this. IMO it would provide more legitimacy and eradicate demographic deficit.
