Thought she got her tactics all wrong in the Olympics (1500 metres) but yesterday proved what she could really do. Broke the British record and hammered the Olympic champion. Studying to be a vet as well, good on her. Just my opinion.
Hey guys, here's episode 2 of my podcast; an interview with former WWE Superstar Daniel Puder. It would be amazing if you could share this as we're a bit disappointed with numbers atm. As always, you can find me on Twitter @DonaghCorby_
Some achievement after recovering from a mid race fall, he's like a modern day Alf Tupper! :-)
I'm looking forward to this.
I want Diaz to win but I think McGregor will last a bit longer this time.
It could easily go either way but I would love to see him tapping out again
Its not fair to let men run in it and win
I've just been watching 2 bouts, both of them were really awful decisions. 1 of them was the Irish boxer, Conlon, who lost the bout, quite wrongly in my opinion. The other was the heavyweight final, where a Russian won it, and that was an even worse decision. The judges who gave those decisions...
That'll do for me.
Terrific performance by the Team GB women to win the gold medal. You realise when you watch events like this that you don't normally see much of how overrated football often is.
Happy to be watching some golf just now but the BBC coverage is absolutely brutal.
No idea who these commentators are but take them out to the "Bay of January" and bloody drown them.
I know it finished yesterday, but I was wondering if anybody saw that keiren thing which was stopped twice. It just seemed as if the judges chickened out of disqualifying Kenny in the first instance, and that meant they couldn't really disqualify the german the second time it was stopped for the...
What a match. Murray going for gold. Absolutely nowt between them played out in a feverish atmosphere full of Argentinian support. Just going into the final set.
****in hell these guys are strong. We're down to the last few trying to lift over 200k . Real competition.
Gold in the 3 metre synchronised diving.
I just had to like this guy. Thorough professional who trains 39 hours a week, and is clearly the very best at the 100m breaststroke. Was watching an interview with him and his family, he dotes on his nan, who's his biggest fan. Broke another world record to win the Olympic Gold, and deserves a...
Great days golf today, plenty in contention. Jason Day is the winner for me, with Stenson close behind.
Is the IOC wrong to leave individual sports to decide on who can represent Russia in Rio? Doping was clearly rife across the board and it seems a farce that these cheats can put forward competitors who have managed to 'get clean' in time for the games. Should it not have been a blanket bann?
After Andy's phenomenal Wimbledon win it was good to watch Jamie play a key role in securing a 2-1 lead v Serbia in the Davis Cup with victory in the doubles this afternoon. Just one win away from a semi-final spot as Great Britain bid to retain the trophy. I didn't think the team had much of a...
What a talented kid he is. Rarely have I seen such an accomplished fighter. I wonder if his lack of power could limit his chances of making it to the very top. He reminds me of Ricky Burns, but I think he could go further than Ricky. He's the most exciting prospect in British boxing imo at a time...
Started tonight in Blackpool.
Kyle Anderson and Robert Thornton early winners.
Van Gerwen currently 7-0 up and Rod Studd comments that Caven must feel like he has run into a truck. Not his finest line of commentary given recent events!
Myself and a mate are looking at getting down to Troon for the final day of the Open next month. Neither of us have even been to a tournament before Not really sure what the script is. I had a look on their website and from what I gather there are tickets available for the Sunday, although in...
Massive well done to Kyle Edmund who has just beaten Dusan Lajovic in straight sets to take GB through to the semi finals and all without Andy Murray.
It's the first time ever that GB has won a World Group match in the Davis Cup since the World Group was formed in 1981.
GB now play Argentina...
Well done the yellow bellies, my second team behind the Hibees despite it being GAA, I've always found them to be like us in the sense that they regularly **** things up, seems they're on the up too.
I cancelled my Sky subscription the other week & it just ran out before the Open started...Can anyone PM with a decent stream please, I can't find one...
Hi fellow hibbies, i help run a Youth Football club in the North of Edinburgh and we are urgently looking for coaches, it would be ideal if you had experience but a love of football and the ability to deal with kids is enough to get started.
Sure it can be stresfull at times but its incredibly...
The draw got made for the 2016 Wimbledon Championships.
Andy Murray will play fellow Brit Liam Broady in round one, meanwhile James Ward will play Novak Djokovic.
Murray's possible route to the final will be;
1st round - Liam Broady
2nd round - Lu Yen-hsun
3rd round - Benoit Paire
Anyone ever done this?
My youngest has suggested we do it this year. I've never cycled anything like that distance, so I'm in 2 minds.
Anybody got any advice or experiences to pass on?
Nice 3 pager about our next potential world champ in this month's boxing monthly.
Some good stories about his pro debut in texas , with juan manuel marquez's trainer helping in his corner as cuts man. And how he would love to headline a show at Edinburgh Castle or Easter Road the home of...
So Anthony Joshua will make his first title defence against.....Dominic Brazeale - aka another unknown bum. Oh and it will cost £17 to watch AJ sparkle this bum within 2 rounds. Hopefully there's not too many of these type of fights before he steps in with a proper opponent.
Not seen a thread for this big congratulations to the big man wholly deserved he's had a few nightmares in the majors over the years,
And the USGA should hang their heads in shame shocking decision
Makes sense for Murray and good timing for Wimbledon.
Australia v poms and South Africa v Ireland later. Wales really pushing all blacks as I type but just gone behind 25-21 as I type with 16-17 mins left
First test of the summer kicking off in about half an hour, looking forward to this, I love having test match special on the radio in the studio. I've got tickets for a couple of days at lords in a couple of weeks.Think England will win the tests but not the 50 over games, not sure about the points...
A total legend. Played at senior level in 5 decades, and played with his sons at senior level. Unimaginable now. Got to speak with him about 5 years ago, what a gentleman. RIP Mr Hockey.
very sad to hear of the passing of YouTube sensation and MMA fighter Kimbo Slice at just 42. used to be amazed watching his street fighting videos before he made the transition into boxing and MMA, was due to headline Bellator in London in a couple of months too.. such a shame.
So Britain finally has its first UFC champion in Michael Bisping. Coming in as a replacement on 2 weeks notice he sparkles the champion in the first round.
Never been his biggest fan but got to respect his dedication and waiting till 37 to get his first title shot. The year of the underdog...
Seems like Andy has been on the drink for the last two days! 2 sets down v Stepanek.
Nowadays words like legend get used too easily but in Ali's case it didn't do him justice.
Had health problems over the years but doesn't soften the blow of his death.
Think today's going to be a day watching clips of his fights on YouTube.
Anyone any idea what time he fights tonight
What do you think?
