  1. USPGA Golf 2017

Well it all starts today at Quail Hollow. Anyone got any fancies? I've went with Matsuyama as my main bet with small stakes on Scott, Chappell and Bubba. Long off the tee is the key apparently.

  2. Musselburgh Racecourse

Has lost it's license to stage racing as per a statement from the BHA today. As of now the next fixture on 14th July and all subsequent fixtures can't go ahead. The BHA have been seeking an independent review into governance of the course for some time and the Musselburgh Joint Racing Committee...

I see Froom has 'all but won it' again. I'm one of the uninitiated, would somebody explain how the scoring's done? I mean every time I hear anything about it, it says so-and-so won a particular stage but Froom is still well out in front. It's not as if he wins many of the stages at all but still...

10 years ago, when I was a 14 year old lad I would play in every golf competition that I could. Sad to see him playing so poorly. I don't think much of him as a person, but as a golfer he was one of the best! Question - do you ever see him regaining his status as the one to beat? I really don't think so. His swing now has too many 'issues' and his chipping is very poor. Worse than Hunter...

  30. Newbury

I thought Ribchester was quite impressive in the Lockinge, although Gallileo Gold didn't help her cause before and during the race. A word for Natavia who was an impressive winner later in the card, and if the ground is similar at Epsom would have a real chance in the Oaks.
