  1. Ricky Burns v Terence Crawford

Anyone else going tonight? Tough night ahead for Ricky imo, he'll need to be at his very best to win based on what I have seen of Crawford. Although Crawford hasn't fought anyone of Rickys standard before. Looking forward to John Simpson v John Murray, Simpson is never in a bad fight win or...

  3. French Open - Roland Garros

I'm in Paris on the 26th and 27th of May when the 1st round is on. Are the tickets reasonably priced? Does anyone know how much it is for a 1 day or half day ticket? It says from 20 euros on the website but that includes kids so full price could be anything.

  5. The Winter Olympics

I'm sorry, I know the respective athletes have put a lot of work into it, but I have no interest in this at all, even though (apparently) we've won 1 or 2 medals. Am I in a minority?

So we're on to another year and although it's a couple of months till it starts proper the mild weather is giving us a chance to get rid of the cobwebs. Just had a round with hibbyradge (cheers bigman, thoroughly enjoyed it) and there was a few signs to make me optimistic for the coming season....

  14. Golf - Dubai Desert Classic.

Whatever happens the rest of this season, today's round of 63 by Stephen Gallagher will go down as one of the best of the year. To be 10 under par for the last 10 holes is legendary. He goes into tomorrow's final round with a 2 stroke lead over Rory Mcilroy so let's hope he can finish the job...

At an all-star basketball match at Bercy last night, a spotlight singled out at random in the 14,000 crowd a guy who would have one try at the basket from the centre spot - if it goes in he wins 100,000. Yup - you've guessed it! ...

Sometimes if you're lucky you can pick up a few bob, to cover your expenses you'll understand, if you do voluntary work. Mostly you'll just get that inward rosy glow for doing a good turn. Still the ethos of it is around amateur helping out. Golf makes millions for everyone connected to the...
