  4. Golf - Dubai Desert Classic.

Whatever happens the rest of this season, today's round of 63 by Stephen Gallagher will go down as one of the best of the year. To be 10 under par for the last 10 holes is legendary. He goes into tomorrow's final round with a 2 stroke lead over Rory Mcilroy so let's hope he can finish the job...

  5. Davis Cup - GB v USA

Andy Murray took the first rubber comfortably with a straight sets win over Donald Young on the San Diego clay earlier. Great match on just now between James Ward and Sam Querrey. They're into a fifth and final set after Ward came from a break down in the fourth set to level the match. If...

  9. Edinburgh Capitals - Elite League 2013/4

Edinburgh Capitals have won 5 of their last 7 matches and it seems today the Edinburgh Evening News are running some sort of voucher for Sundays match v Hull. 10 for adults or 20 for family (2+2). Thought I'd put it out there if anyone's looking for a cheap bit of entertainment on Sunday...

  14. Basketball - this is brilliant

At an all-star basketball match at Bercy last night, a spotlight singled out at random in the 14,000 crowd a guy who would have one try at the basket from the centre spot - if it goes in he wins 100,000. Yup - you've guessed it! ...

World record chase is on. SA 412-6 chasing another 46 in 10 overs. Will smash the record test match chase. If SA get it I guess Cook will want a lead off 700 before ever setting a target in future.

Sometimes if you're lucky you can pick up a few bob, to cover your expenses you'll understand, if you do voluntary work. Mostly you'll just get that inward rosy glow for doing a good turn. Still the ethos of it is around amateur helping out. Golf makes millions for everyone connected to the...
