Am I right in thinking Sir Hoy is a yam?
Is it just me or are most rugby players Yams? I've never really needed much of an excuse to hate rugby, but I'm sure John Jeffries was one, and that fat guy on Sportsound, Peter something-or-other. Maybe it's just another excuse for me not to listen to Sportsound. Murrayfield seems to be a...
With the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow, it reminded me of a rumour I heard that Sir Hoy is of the Yammish persuasion, is this true? Still a great representative for Scotland either way of course.
I've just been watching 2 bouts, both of them were really awful decisions. 1 of them was the Irish boxer, Conlon, who lost the bout, quite wrongly in my opinion. The other was the heavyweight final, where a Russian won it, and that was an even worse decision. The judges who gave those decisions...
I know it finished yesterday, but I was wondering if anybody saw that keiren thing which was stopped twice. It just seemed as if the judges chickened out of disqualifying Kenny in the first instance, and that meant they couldn't really disqualify the german the second time it was stopped for the...
And already the favourite's been taken out. Still a relatively young horse I suppose.
Great race to watch this, Robbie Power seems to be riding out of his skin at the moment cos Sizing John had to work really hard to beat Djackadam and Coneygree. I thought Coneygree ran a great race, considering that's just his 3rd race since he won the Gold Cup himslef in 2015.
What a remarkable horse Menorah is, the only ever winner of that race, winning it for the 4th time today and then an honourable retirement.
I have to say, all credit to Laura Muir, getting 2 medals in the women's 1500 and 3000 metres at the World Indoor Championships while also doing her placement as a vet, the final part of her degree.
Anyone watching this just now? The fact they are still playing in this depth of snow is just ridiculous :greengrin
NFL I think they should try out the half time entertainment at Easter Road to give them some ideas for next years Superbowl!!!!. Seahawks win and THAT game today would be a perfect Sunday.
Few surprises already in the Province Championships, especially with Cavan beating Monaghan! Been some very entertaining football on show, looking forward to Mayo vs Roscommon next weekend with two very good sides hopefully going at it hammer and tongs. Live on Sky Sports as well
Who you fancying? Tiger at 30/1 always worth a punt at Augusta. Dechambeau favourite but fancy Justin Thomas myself 👍
No particular order here, because you can’t compare between sports obviously. Maradona, Tiger, Senna, O’Sullivan, Babe Ruth. Discuss. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Was thinking earlier on today about how you never hear anyone call a throw-in a “shy” anymore. When did throw-in take over? Was “shy” just a Scottish thing? What other things do you just not see/hear in sports anymore? You never see Baseball players in stirrups anymore and you never see...
Could this be his year to finally win the Australian open? It won't be easy with Federer and Nadal hitting good form again but Djokovic has just been eliminated in 5 sets by Wawrinka..
South Africa picking up from where they left off against the English in the summer. Hashim Amla is immovable!
Any other baseball fans on here. If so now that the post season is almost upon us what are your thoughts. The AL is all sewn with only the yankees and the red sox left to battle it out for division champs and the runner up looks likly to take the wild card. As for the NL nothing looks settled...
Great to see a Hibs fan winning a world title in any sport but to beat someone with a record like Taylor was fantastic. :flag:
Andy murray just about to start on bbc2 if anybodys interested
Am I the only one that thinks Schuamcher coming back can only hurt the legacy he has built
Anyone been watching the WDF world championship this week
Starts tomorrow. Mvg and price must be the favourites with humphries a close outsider. Smith struggling with form to defend his title. Would love Gary Anderson to win it but can’t see it

Guys, Anybody know where I could get my hands on a second hand set of junior bowls, don't want to pay £70-80 for a set that my son will grow out of in abou 2 years "00" are far too big.
Guys, any idea if his fight is on the telly tonight??
Just noticed there wasn't a thread about this game, so I thought I'd just say how good the all blacks are but I feel we should be doing better than we are:boo hoo:Half time at the moment 28-3 NZ
Sky Sports now, england on the ropes at 4 - 3, unfortunately they have now recovered to 7 - 3 :greengrin:greengrin

Can't see a current thread, so if there is one point me in the right direction. :aok: How everyone's season going so far? Played yesterday for the first time in months. I had played 6 holes since September so wasn't expecting much. Last 2 days have been a mixed bag. Some really good shots...
10 years ago, when I was a 14 year old lad I would play in every golf competition that I could. On a Friday afternoon after school I would have the choice of whether to play the junior medal at Dundas or Linlithgow, and you could guarantee there would be at least 15 playing in each, often much more...
Just for a bit of fun / interest for those who golf. What's your... - Favourite 3 courses that you have played - Course you would like to play (Scotland) - Course you would like to play (Championship Level / worldwide) - Favourite pro golfers - Lowest round ever - Golf like now ...
After going to see the Leafs in Toronto a couple of weeks ago I've decided to go along to Murrayfield tonight for the Coventry game. Not been to Hockey in Edinburgh for about 18+ years. Used to go regulary in the days when the Racers dominated with guys such as Paul and Tony Hand, Rick Fera, Moray...
Shocking news that possibly the greatest ever rugby player has died suddenly aged just 40. A colossus of a player.
to be shown on Dave.................does that mean we'll get repeats for the next 15 years!?
