  1. Sevco Match On @ Quinn's

Just a brief post to let y'all know that the match on Sunday is 100% on at Quinn's. Pierre is back in town so good eats are also guaranteed. I can't manage this one - but catch-up with you folks again shortly. :flag::flag:

  3. Rangers v Hibs 23/08/2015

There is radio silence on this? What is going on? Hibs are only going to be on TV a few times this season, so it is a shame not to meet up. If there is nothing going on, then I'll probably be in the Sheephaven Tavern in Camden/Mornington Crescent for the game if anybody wants to join me and Liam.

  5. London Hibs to support HSL

Folks, I sent out a communique tonight to the members of the London Hibs Supporters Club that I have on my email database. The list isn't definitive, hence my post here. If there are any London/SE England based Hibees who didn't receive the email (or who would like to be added to the list)...

  6. Quinn's (Orangery) for SEVCO Match - Saturday 23rd May - KO 12:00

There it is on the menu. My dish. My invention. Except you can’t actually invent food. Only God can do that, and Ronald McDonald. You can try to keep recipes secret, like Coca-Cola or Indian restaurateurs who’d kill their chefs if they tried to go to other kitchens, but as a rule of trotter, food...

  7. (URGENT) SEVCO Vs Hibs Confirmed ON At Quinn's

Folks. I can now confirm that the match on wednesday is 100% on at quinn's and it will be screened in the piano bar from 19:30. This is a kind gesture of goodwill from mr & mrs quinn as i told her that there would easily be more hibs supporters turning up than arsenal fans. Get there...

  13. Quinn's (Orangery) for Sevco Match - 22nd March - KO 12:45

The soil is splashed with colour. Crocuses unfurl themselves into stubby tufts of violet. Pierre plucks a flower: those spindly stamens shoot from the heart, he drops the saffron into the basket. Repeat ad infinitum. Pierre, one of the most talented French chefs working in Britain, has just...

Nominative determination is the serendipity of having your name choose your job for you. 15. Quinn's Piano Bar (match) Brasserie (meal) for Huns Match - 13th February - KO 19:45

Quinn’s in the 1990s was as close as you could get to a perfect restaurant. Back then, it didn’t have the best food in the world, or even in London; it wasn’t the prettiest or the most sumptuous room; it was a long way from having the finest wine list; it didn’t offer a view. But it had that thing,...

  18. Quinn's (Orangery) for Huns - Sat 27th 12:15 Kick-Off

This year, Christmas week is Senegalese week at Quinn's. Why Senegalese? It looks like old-style pubs have gone the way of crinolines and Ford Capris. For the last two years, a pub – the Hand in Flowers in Marlow – was voted our best restaurant at the National Restaurant Awards. I’ll say that again; the best restaurant in the country isn’t even a restaurant. The...

Food is the oldest, most enduring measure of status, wealth, power and aspiration. The menu is the single most important item in a restaurant. It is its calling card, its advertisement, its mission statement.
