Fifty years since it was released. Is it one of the most important albums ever released by a British group?
What are your favourite tracks on it. Mine is Big Sky.
So I passed my test around 3 weeks ago and am currently saving for a car. Just going to get a cheap run about for now, any recommendations?
Secondly, I am quite nervous about driving on my own for the first time when I do get eventually get my car, I have a feeling I may not be very confident...
There's loads of bands I love but will admit that they've had a bad album or have a major flaw - there are a small handful that I would say are perfect in their output.
BjŲrk is one of them - Debut and Post were outstanding, Homogenic an all time classic and even in her more recent years has...
RIP. Guess the gators got you

Looking for some help, we bought our son an ipad off ebay and it arrived yesterday, the previous owners email address is still on the icloud part and we cant out my sons details into anything as the other address comes up, is there an easy way to get his details off without a password, the previous...
Just been reading on 'Lost Edinburgh' Facebook page regarding graffiti around Edinburgh over the years, people were going on about one particular in the 90's 'McCabe Grass' around Sighthill area I do remember it but does anyone know the story behind it? People think its something to do with a...
At the suggestion of hibbyradge, here's the Movie Cliche thread.
One that drives me mad is when police go to interview a witness or someone who might know something, the person always carries on working while they talk to the police. The car mechanic fixing a car, the warehouseman loading boxes,...
What would you put into your Room 101 when it comes to music? You get three picks.
My first is technically proficient bands who offer little in the way of excitement. Seen The 101 at Belladrum who could play their instruments well but were dull as dishwater. Compare that with bands like Retro...
Living in Australia the last 4 years, Iím feeling totally out of the loop.
Any decent bands from Scotland over that time I may have missed? Just stumbled upon Mastersystem the other day, the Frightened Rabbit/Editors side project.
I'd love a bit of advice if so, trying to tap into the power of the dot net hive mind.
My partner is trying to get some experience in the industry while she's at college. The problem she's facing is all she's getting is waiting/bar work offered, rather than a chance to actually see how events...
Can anyone tell me how much it costs to get a tradesman to hang a door?
I assume that they would also fit the handles and latch.
I need 6 fitted.
Turned up to Glasgow this morning to find my flight to Philadelphia is delayed by 3 hours. Meaning I miss my connection onto San Francisco, so I've now been bumped onto a later flight and won't get to California until 6am tomorrow morning.
I vowed never to fly with American Airlines after a...
Where do you all go? For the last couple of years Iíve been going to Kurdistan barbers in portobello. I get my hair and beard done, the service is unbelievable. Such nice guys and so professional in what they do.
Anyone on here got them? Saw a set for the first time at the swimming pool the other night and Iím now intrigued :greengrin
Anyone else heard their pulling a few of their routes from Edinburgh including Edinburgh - New York.
Can anyone answer this poser: what was the biggest ever away support to watch a football match in Edinburgh?
No prizes, just for fum. My supposedly football mad friends could not answer it.
We have a Cocker Spaniel, had him for a month, the previous dog we had (Yorkie) had the usual treats for good behaviour etc. We used to go to Morrisons and get bones/end cuts for him which he loved. We were at Tesco yesterday and asked the Butcher if they had any bones/end cuts but they said they...
I'm looking for inspiration and that thread had loads of suggestions, but I can't find it.
Takes me back..Had a burd for every day off the week back then.
Now im middle aged and growing stuff in my gairden
This viewing option seems to be more and more prevalent.
As I mentioned on the box sets thread, I started watching Killing Eve last night. It's a brand new drama (I was going to call it a series, but is it?) and every episode is already available.
It's indicative of how people's viewing...

Thereís a few songs out there that start in a certain way but then switch to a completely different style half way through. I love them, but letís list them.
ill start with wings band on the run and the killers all these things that Iíve done.
This is inspired by the Two-Part Songs thread,
Lots of songs follow the same model verse-chorus-verse-chorus- something different -chorus or ABABCB. The ‘something different’ bit can be in a changed key or even a changed time signature, and there’s something about the way it resolves itself to...
Anyone else doing it tomorrow?

Used to be a huge fan of Eminem - the first CD I ever bought was the Slim Shady LP but Revival really disappointed me, Em is capable of so much better. Any Slim fans on here?
I'd say travel and sport and in particular football as far as sport is concerned are the greatest passions in my life other than family obviously.
With that in mind, where are the greatest and most enjoyable places you have visited? Where would you most like to visit next?
I think Ive managed...
I'm heading off to NYC this weekend and looking for some bar recommendations.
I'm well aware, as like with most big cities, there are tourist traps, so looking for some bars that come with the Hibs.Net endorsement and seal of approval.
I'm lodging close to Times Square but will be all over...
I expected this to be a complete tumbleweed thread! Apologies in advance!
Iíve been tasked in organising a Christmas work night out for my team in Edinburgh. Weíve got a big department one the night before so weíre not fussed about the whole party venue night out.
I was wondering if there was any old techno music fans amongst us. I spent a huge part of the 90s in clubs and all nighters like rezerection. If so give us some of your favourite tunes. Iíll start.
not my favourite song, but one I just remembered.
Currently listening to Vienna and it got me thinking. What other classic songs didnít make it to the top of the charts.
Hi guys, any thoughts on where's best to buy a new TV. I'm thinking Argos or Currys but I'm sure there used to be a lot more places that sold them (shops, not online). Don't really fancy Argos as want to see the TV up close before buying it so I'm thinking Currys.
Also, am I better buying a...
Went to see the Irish comedian Jason Byrne tonight. Hilarious. First thing he did was pick on Christophe Berra who was in the audience and slag the size of his heid!
Whats going on, is it usually this difficult to find a place to rent? I know its Festival time but I've been looking for months and months. Anything that is half decent gets snapped up instantly. Prices seem ridiculous whether on the outskirts or in the city centre. So many student flats aswell....
Some nice Hibs clips.
Turns out I've no work tomorrow so planning on taking my daughter out for the day. Anyone know if Scotrail still do the kids go free ticket. Trying to book tickets on my phone but not giving me that option so gonna just buy at the station if its still available.
Down: "The world tends towards chaos"
Up: "It will pass"
Who has tickets to see DB this year?
The reviews are universally glowing.
"Best since Stop Making Sense".
"Might be the most ambitious and impressive live show of all time".
"The most meticulous production you'd ever hope to see."
What is the song that you feel defines you and the best years of your younger days, and why. Please be honest and donít put in a song because itís a cool tune.
For me itís feel the panic, by force mass motion. At the time I was massively into the dance scene. Iíd never heard of them before, but...
