Dear .net travel experts,

Me and the missus have been invited to a wedding in Buenos Aires in October, and we are seriously considering a) going and b) obviously making more of a holiday of it than just going over for the wedding.

We'll only have - I think - max 2 weeks, so obviously scooting round the whole of Latin America isn't an option. I'd sooner do Argentina as properly as possible - with maybe a wee excursion to Montevideo which I understand can be done from Buenos Aires - than stretch ourselves and see nothing properly.

We won't have a car, so public transport/organised tours will be how we get around.

Anyone done anything similar, got tips/places to definitely see/avoid in Buenos Aires and Argentina in general?

All advice welcome.

Cheers in advance,

Anyone else catch the story on 14 year old Jacob Barnett on BBC breakfast this morning?

Diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome at a very young age, he was told he would never read, be able to tie his shoes or live a normal life as his autism was deemed to be moderate to severe.

He was accepted as a full student at the University of Purdue Indiana at only 10 years old and now 14 is about to begin work on his PhD and also as a paid researcher, making him the youngest astrophysicist ever!

http://tedxteen.com/speakers-perform...-jacob-barnett

His work on PT-symmetry in lattice structures was recently just published in the Physical Review A journal (http://pra.aps.org/pdf/PRA/v84/i2/e024103). I have an extensive background in physics and for the most part I understand Quantum Theory, the equations which underpin it and their applications. When I read his paper, I can follow it without too much difficulty but what I find staggering is that a 14 year old kid derived, proofed and confirmed these equations from the depths of his mind! Astrophysicists have been working on PT-symmetry in impure N-site boundary lattices for years to no avail and along comes this little genius and advances the science substantially!

A truly inspirational story and I just hope he doesn't burn out or succumb to the undoubted spotlight he's going to find himself in. If he manages to keep on an even path, a Nobel prize absolutely awaits!

There's a few sensible folk on here who know their way around the modern world...

A few months back, I bought a brand new motor on PCP. It's since developed an issue which appears to have been a manufacturer's fault as opposed to something I've done to the car - meaning it came with the car.

It has totally undermined my confidence in the vehicle I have bought and I am now wanting to completely cancel the contract.

Has anyone managed to do this? Apparently the Sale of Goods Act stipulates that the product has to be fit for purpose from the outset (one of the statutory rights often mentioned in small print and also in the consumer credit act that governs PCP schemes as well as loan for purchase etc). Also, the Road Traffic Act requires a vehicle to be roadworthy and that it is an offense to sell something which is not roadworthy.

Any thoughts or suggestions welcomed!

Locals say they had reported woman being walked like dogs, tied up naked etc yet only now after 10 years they are free.
Some sick people out there, least they are free at last!
Police have praised the bravery of
three women found alive on Monday evening in a house in Cleveland, Ohio, after
they vanished about a decade ago.

Amanda Berry, who disappeared in 2003 aged 16, escaped with a neighbour's
help while her alleged captor was away.

Gina DeJesus, who went missing aged 14 a year later, and Michelle Knight, who
vanished in 2002 aged about 19, were also rescued from the property.

A school bus driver and his two brothers have been arrested.

The three women were taken to hospital for a check-up and to be reunited with
their relatives before being discharged on Tuesday morning.

A six-year-old girl also rescued from the house was believed to be the
daughter of Ms Berry, Deputy Police Chief Ed Tomba told a news
conference.
'Tied up'
FBI Special Agent Stephen Anthony said: "The nightmare is over. These three
young ladies have provided us with the ultimate definition of survival and
perseverance. The healing can now begin."

It is difficult to believe that Seymour Avenue could be home to such a crime:
a quiet tree lined street with houses knocked about and sometimes boarded up, a
red-brick church and traffic humming back and forth at either end.

But it is the residents and neighbours who are most surprised. Aurora Marti,
75, has lived across from 2207 Seymour Avenue for 27 years. Ariel Castro used to
come and sit on her porch and chat with her. He took her granddaughter out for
bike rides at a nearby park.

When the nearby area was being dug up in the search for Amanda Berry's
remains, he talked to her about it. All the while he is alleged to have held
Amanda and two other women just across the road.

"Yes, law enforcement professionals do cry," he
added.

He vowed prosecutors would "bring the full weight of justice" on those
responsible in the "horrific case".

School bus driver Ariel Castro, 52, and his two brothers, Pedro, 54, and
Onil, 50, have been taken into custody.

Police Chief Michael McGrath said the women were believed to have been tied
up at the house. Officials said they may also investigate other properties.

Ms Berry, now 27, escaped on Monday evening when a neighbour heard her
screaming and kicking a door, while her alleged captor was out of the house.

Rescuer Charles Ramsey said he had helped kick in a metal door so that Ms
Berry could climb outside.

In a recording of Monday's emergency call, she says: "I've been kidnapped,
and I've been missing for 10 years. And I'm here. I'm free now."
'Home seemed vacant'
Ms Berry identifies herself to the 911 dispatcher, saying she has been on the
news for the past decade, and begging for help to arrive before her captor
returns.

A neighbour, Charles Ramsey, tells reporters: "We had to kick
open the bottom of the door"

Police Chief McGrath told Tuesday's news conference: "Thankfully, due to
Amanda's brave actions these three women are alive today."

Neighbour Anna Tejeda said she had refused to believe the young woman at
first. "You're not Amanda Berry. Amanda Berry is dead," she said, according to
the Associated Press news agency.

Other neighbours in the working-class district said they did not realise
anybody was living at the house at 2207 Seymour Ave.

During the news conference, Public Safety Director Martin Flask said that in
March 2000, Mr Castro had called the authorities to report a fight on his
street, but no arrest was made.

In January 2004, police called at Mr Castro's home, but no-one answered. They
were alerted by children's services after a child was left at a depot on a
school bus that Mr Castro had been driving. Authorities concluded there had been
no criminal intent.

Ms Berry had last been heard from aged 16 when she called her sister on 21
April 2003 to say she would get a lift home from her job at a Burger King
restaurant.
Mother's 'broken heart'
In 2004, Ms DeJesus - who is now 23 years old - was believed to have been on
her way home from school when she went missing.

911 call: "Help me I'm Amanda Berry... I've been missing for 10
years"

Their disappearances made local headlines in Cleveland, and many assumed the
girls were dead.

The case of Michelle Knight, who was older than the other women when she
disappeared and is now 32, was less widely publicised.

Her grandmother, Deborah Knight, was quoted by the Cleveland Plain Dealer
newspaper on Monday as saying the authorities concluded she had run away.

The victims' families have responded with stunned joy. Sylvia Colon, a
relative of Gina DeJesus, said they had never given up hope.

But Ms Berry's mother, Louwana, died in March 2006, three years after her
daughter went missing. A local politician said the mother had died of a "broken
heart".

In an extraordinary twist, it emerged that Ariel Castro's son - also called
Ariel, although he goes by his middle name Anthony - wrote an article about
the disappearance of Gina DeJesus for his local newspaper in 2004.

Police have not commented on the case of a fourth missing girl, Ashley
Summers, who disappeared in the same area in July 2007 when 14 years old.

Whilst agreeing that the sentence did seem very lenient for a second offence that has resulted in the sad death of yet another cyclist, I was glad to hear his comments. I'm not really interested in the counter arguments regarding this case, wear a ****** helmet and give yourself more chance of surviving a collision makes perfect sense to me.

I never scrounged fags anyway because other people’s brands always tasted worse than mine. I was a Peter Stuyvesant man until 31st December 1993.

So despite having given up, how come I am still smoking?

It’s because, from time to time, I dream about smoking and more specifically I dream I am smoking, as if I have never given up.

And that’s strange because the longer I stayed away from smoking, the more I came to hate it.

I hate the smell, I hate the cost but most of all I hate the terrible damage cigarettes do to people and many of those people were related to me.

My mother survived into her seventies you might say despite her terrible habit but in truth life in terms of a meaningful existence had ceased to be long before then.

All her medical conditions, the heart disease, the odd mini-stroke, the blockages in her legs that almost brought about amputation caused her absolute agony, indescribable pain that ruined her life.

But still she continued to ‘enjoy’ the habit that did the damage.

Her mother’s health was badly affected by cigarettes and it certainly killed her father who died of lung cancer.

Like most smokers, I suspect, I believed that I would somehow be immune to the 300 or so carcinogens that loiter in each cigarette, that the worst thing that would happen to me would be dog’s breath (and that’s an insult to dogs) and that my clothes would smell (and my house, my pets and, if I carried on smoking that long) my children too.

Smoking killed other people but not me. And the earth-shattering splutter emanating from my chest each morning was nothing to worry about, or rather nothing to think about because if I had thought about it I’d have never have started smoking in the first place. No. The day’s first fag would clear the tubes!

It didn’t occur to me how much I stank of cigarettes until someone told me. My friend Christine in Manchester, with whom I was staying, mentioned how bad my breath was. That’s what friends are for, I thought, but it wasn’t welcome advice.

It was several years before I made a serious attempt to quit.

And on 1st January 1994 we managed it and we managed it for good.

The last pack I bought cost £2.48 but now the same brand retails at something like £8 a pack. If we were to start smoking now at the same rate as we did pre 1994, we’d spend well over £100,000 (of taxed income) over the next 20 years, assuming we’d live long enough to spend it.

My father, who died in 2011, was an ex smoker too and blamed some of the conditions he had in later life on smoking. He was also a militant anti-smoker.

He lived in Ottawa and at the time of this story there was no smoking ban in public places such as restaurants. He hated ‘second hand smoke’ as he called it and did everything in his power to avoid it.

One day he telephoned a local restaurant to book a table for 20. He went through the menu in great detail, ensuring that the bill would be monumental. The manager was suitably impressed and went out of his way to be helpful.

At the end of the conversation, my father asked, “Oh by the way, do you allow smoking in your restaurant. This is very important to me!”

“Why of course, Sir,” came the reply. “We have no restrictions here.”

“In that case,” said my father, “Please cancel the booking forthwith and I’ll be in touch when you have banned smoking from your restaurant!”

Petty? Childish? Maybe, but he was making a point in a way in which I’d never have the brass neck to do!

In England, at least, we have now had nearly six years where smoking has been banned from public places.

And from where I am sitting, occasionally in the pub for example, it is hard to imagine we ever allowed smoking in public at all.

It must be awful being the smoker these days, scratching around for somewhere outside in the cold and rain for a place to indulge the habit, the expensive and ultimately fateful addiction. And I totally understand why they carry on smoking. Quitting was hard, the hardest thing I ever did.

I almost feel a little dirty when I wake up having smoked in Dream Land because just for a moment it seems real and I’m the hopeless nicotine addict of 1993 and before, stinking to high heaven with dog’s breath and a lot less money.

An old friend of mine, sadly long gone, was once admitted to hospital after a heart attack and was being cared for in the Coronary Care Unit of a local hospital.

When I visited him a few days later, he asked me how many of the 15 people in the ward, having suffered varying degrees of heart problems, were smokers.

I guess five or six.

“All of us,” he replied, “And some of them have had limbs removed. They get the nurses to wheel them outside for a fag.”

He died the next year and whilst it took me a few years following to really learn the lesson, I’m glad I finally did.

You can’t fight the fellow with the bright night gown and the fight will be immeasurably more painful and futile with each passing cigarette.

A friend of mine wrote that. I wanted to share it.

Distancing analogies, short rehearsed phrasings, constant repetition of the word "friend" and a persistent sound of insincerity.
And then her micro-expressions - the very explicit exhalations, the slight smile before answering "no" when asked directly if she killed Meredith Kercher, the nod of the head yes when answering "no" when asked if she was there that night, the masking of a smile and deep swallow when asked if there was anything she knew and hadn't told the police...

I also find it very difficult to listen to her whenever interviewed as she always talks about herself - her actions, the impacts of all of this on her, her feelings...she displays so many facets of a psychopath.

What's people's thoughts on making potential nursing students work as care assistants for free before starting training? I think it has had as much thought put into it as their idea about building extensions without planning permission.

My feeling is that, apart from demoralising the good students, it could lead to many of them picking up bad habits which they will have to unlearn once qualified.

I think this attack on nursing - well justified in light of Mid Staffs etc - is a cack handed approach to a serious problem. Like so many things politicians do, it is not based on evidence, but public perception of what the solution is.

Oh, and those working for free in the private sector, will be giving a helping hand to hard working care home owners. We're all in this together.

She wrote:

Kevin Daniel Williams
Kevin was a happy 15-year-old who studied hard and loved his football, Kevin had a season ticket and always went to the home games, the away games we used to send him with an organised mini bus with a few grownups and friends of Kevin. The semi final at Hillsborough was the first away game he went to without an adult, Kevin’s dad let him go on condition he caught the police escort train to take him and his friend Andrew safely to Sheffield.
Kevin and Andrew entered the ground that day at 1.30pm, they went through the turnstiles with their tickets and went into pen 4. At 1.45pm they spotted a few other Formby boys and decided to join them in pen 3.
As the pens started to get full Kevin became concerned and had said to Andrew “Its getting a bit packed in here.” Kevin was stood on his sisters packed lunch box which he had taken with him, the game kicked off and a big surge came in the crowd, Kevin was pushed away from Andrew towards the barrier that broke.
Andrew never saw Kevin alive again.
John Herbert, a survivor, was by the barrier that was going to break, Kevin had fallen and was on his knees in front of John. John got hold of Kevin’s left shoulder and held him up while he was holding his friend Kenny at his other side, John remembers the ambulance pulling up and the liverpool scarf being thrown across the windscreen. The barrier gave way and everyone fell down, John told me they were near the top of a pile of bodies, John could not move his legs, when the poor people were moved John grabbed his mate Kenny and helped him over the fence and John climbed over the fence into pen 2.
Kevin was lifted out of pen 3 at 3.28pm (visual evidence) by PC. Michael Craighill who gave Kevin mouth to mouth. At 3.31pm Kevin was half way across the pitch carried by Steve Hart, Tony O’Keefe, PC Craighill and other Liverpool fans. (photo evidence)
At 3.37pm Kevin was being resuscitated by PC. Bruder aided by Johnny Prescott and a St Johns Ambulance man. PC. Bruder found a pulse in Kevin. At this point an ambulance was now passing them, *entering the pitch, PC Bruder asked for it to be flagged down as he wanted to put Kevin in it.(Photo and video evidence)

PC.Bruder was right about the ambulance, *we found it coming on to the pitch at 3.35pm on the West Midland Police compilation video. Roger Cook found Tony Edwards the assistant driver.
At 3.40pm Special WPC Debra Martin found a pulse and took Kevin into the gym, Debra was told to stay with Kevin and carry out resuscitation, this she did, Kevin started to move so Debra picked him up in her arms. Kevin opened his eyes and he spoke the word 'Mum' before he slumped back and died at 4.00pm.
These are Kevin’s movements on the day of the disaster, I have spoken to all the witnesses who were able to tell me what had happened to Kevin – a very different version than what I was told at Kevin’s inquest.
I have spent hours with the top forensic pathologists, particularly Dr. Ian West at Guys Hospital, I have had everything explained to me and numerous medical reports. Kevin’s injuries would not have killed him if he had been given the right care, Kevin did not die from Traumatic asphyxia the cause of death given at his inquests.
Tony Edwards, who I met in 1994 while filming for the Roger Cook Report, told me it was a police cordon that stopped 44 ambulances entering the ground, Tony mowed through the cordon and would have passed Kevin at 3.37pm like PC. Bruder had said.
The coroner had told the families that the reason they could not get the vehicles on the ground was due to ramps and the design of the ground.
All dead or brain-dead by the 3.15pm cut off time, so no evidence came out after that time. Kevin was alive and could have been saved, The families have had a scrutiny - another stitch up, a private prosecution on Chief Constable Duckenfield, the officer in charge that day, and Bernard Murray which ended in Murray as not Guilty and a hung jury where Duckenfield was concerned.
In 1991 myself and five other families submitted a Memorial [the formal name given to the documents that are put together explaining all the reasons for the submission] to the Attorney General asking for a new inquest into the death of our children, this was refused. ( see Legal Avenues) We then sort as Judicial Review [a legal procedure where a judge can review decisions made by the coroner and decide whether they are appropriate and/or correct] a five-day hearing in the High Court in the Strand London -another stitch up.
In June 1994 Roger Cook ran my story, my MP Sir Malcolm Thornton had my case debated in the House in October 1994, the Attorney General Sir Nicholas Lyall promised he would look at the case again, (see Hansard) we submitted the evidence under section 13 of the coroners act hoping once more for a new inquest… eight months later I was refused.

In 2005 I submitted another Memorial to the Attorney General again with more evidence, again I was told it was not in the interest of Justice that Kevin should get a new inquest. I should have followed his decision with a Judiciary Review only I had no funds to take it through the courts so I submitted my case into Europe with the help of my barrister Ed Fitzgerald QC and solicitor who once again wavered his fees.
In 2006 I submitted my case into the European Courts of Human Rights under section 2 “The Right To Life.” Kevin’s right, because Kevin had died in the hands of the state he had the right to a fair hearing to determine HOW he died. I was hopeful that Europe would look into all the evidence and give Kevin the Justice he deserved and that is to put the records straight. Williams Vs United Kingdom – another chance for JUSTICE.
I received my answer from Europe in April 2009 – just before the 20th Anniversary of Hillsborough. Every Legal avenue has been blocked yet the evidence is clearly there.
Kevin Daniel Williams was worth nothing to the system, in my eyes he did not fit into their plan so they made him fit, I will never give up my fight. If Kevin gets a new inquest it could open the floodgates for other families and perhaps we could finally have some peace.
Kevin was just a little boy who went to a football match and never came home … I don’t believe myself and the other Hillsborough families deserve to be deprived of the TRUTH.

Hi all

im currently in the middle of being tupe'd over to another company and was wondering if anyone out there can help with a question that has risen as I can't find anything on the Internet to help.

my ex partner (child's mother) also works for the same firm as myself, we have been offered a compensation payment of 30% of a years wage (loosing pension and other benefits) now when she is paid this compensation it will take her earnings above the threshold for claiming child tax credit and working tax credit making her close to £400 out of pocket each month (obviously a big worry) for next years claim. Now I'm not an expert on the benefit process by any stretch of the imagination but I don't see how this can be the case, why is the payment taken in like its a bonus payment or wage increase when it's a compensation package? Isn't she loosing out twice by this happening?
With the amount of tupe's occurring these days this obviously will happen a lot as I'm sure there's quite a few working single mothers out there surely we're missing something?

thanks in advance for any help or pointers in the right direction

Now if you ask me, this girl seems to be an objectionable little madam, but all of this is ridiculous:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ioner-for.html

So far I've counted seven articles about a girl getting a job worth £15k a year, hardly a huge salary. She made some silly tweets when she was fourteen and now the Daily Mail are calling for her to be sacked and running story after story about her.

Whether or not you think the job role is a worthwhile use of £15k is irrelevant; there was a job vacancy there and she applied for it. She went through the recruitment process and was selected as the best candidate for the job.

We all know that the Daily Mail are vile, but in an age of google and instant access they may have ended the chance of this girl having a decent career before it even started. They run stories on youth employment, run stories criticising young people for not wanting to work and when there's a success story of a seventeen year old girl finding a job on a below average salary they look to hound her out of the job.

Have to say that this is one of the most disgusting acts of behaviour by that particular paper in quite some time.

Thoughts on this?

Though not a perfect model, I personally think it's about time something was incorporated and something a lot more airlines might consider introducing. Nothing worse than being on a long-haul and getting stuck next to some morbidly obese chap/gal who's spreading over into your seat.

If I get charged for being slightly over my luggage weight allowance, airlines should be able to force anyone over a certain size to pay for their excess load.

No doubt the PC lobby would deem it as discriminatory if someone like British Airways tried to bring it in but there are many good reasons for airlines to consider it :agree:

Legislation is underway to stop us using the term Hot Dogs to describe these particular tinned sausages!

Seemingly it is confusing to Eastern Europeans who have English as a second language, i.e they are not hot and they are not dogs (not sure about the latter bit!).
Where will it all stop?
Something tells me the European flair pool is lacking these days.

Incredible achievement from Daniel Day Lewis, securing his third Academy Award last night.

Quite surprised that Argo won best picture - well deserved in my opinion but it didn't strike me as an Oscar-esque film. Thought it would have been Life of Pi, Lincoln (though probably not considering it was a Spielberg) or Amour in all honesty.

No real surprise that Ang Lee won best director but I still find it shameful that Affleck and Tarantino weren't given a nod this year.

Quite chuffed for a good friend of mine who was part of the sound mixing team on Les Miserables who won that category :not worth

My daughter has been taking a keen interest in news events in Scotland of late. (We live abroad) She keeps asking me which part of Edinburgh incidents or events have occurred when reading the reports on the BBC Scotland website. She then asked me, quite innocently, why any events always happened in a named district in Glasgow but not Edinburgh.

Sure enough i checked and found that to be the case. Edinburgh, seems to being treated as a small town where everyone will know where all the streets are. And if they dont well it's a wee place anyway. I decided to ask why on 3 occasions and have had no response.

My question is I suppose is there really an attempt by the Glasgow media to subtly try to proclaim the dominance of their city? I know in football terms there is not even an attempt to pretend otherwise. Maybe its just lazy arsed reporting to anything outside the Glasgow area.

And while on a petty rant WTF is that background all about on the news with the crane and some road traffic! I was asked by by daughters boyfriend who watches tv to improve his english, "why is the news filmed in an industrial estate" why indeed.

Problem number two. After getting the gas sorted I now have another problem. Sound like a right whigning get. There is building work getting done underneath my flat. I stay on the second floor and I think a shop is getting converted underneath me. Anyway I got a letter from the owner of the shop (which has lay empty for 5 years) saying that all was getting done is two windows where getting installed in the property. He never told me the whole place was getting smashed up inside and re-built. Now problem one is, the racket that the builders are making is crazy and the whole building is shaking like mad. They sound very close to coming through my floor. The second problem is, my flat is covered in dust all the time and am struggling to breathe. Basically I cant live in the flat

I was just wondering were I stand with all this? Going to speak to the owner in a few hours.

That this is a major fraud event is pretty apparent.
If you have eaten any of this you may be (1) Morally appalled by the idea of eating horsemeat. (2) Indignant at being mislead as to what you are eating.
However the media typically suggest that there is some major health danger. They talk of food being "contaminated" by horsemeat. Horsemeat is not dangerous to health. What they mean is "adulterated" . This is not just a matter of pedantic semantics. Regretfully the public tend to interpret events in the most negative terms.
The situation should never have arisen. It should be dealt with as soon as possible.
And no I am not Anti-vegetarian, nor have I any connection to either the food or hotel/restaurant industry.
But creating unnecessary anxiety for the sake of a sensational headline is irresponsible.

Is there away I can change the settings?

A comment on a friend's Facebook caused me to think about this. The detail isn't important.

I've read a lot of people saying that they're "Scottish, not British" and although I understand the sentiment, I've always thought it was a bit silly because, like it or not, Scotland is in the British Isles ergo, Scottish people are automatically British.

It would be like saying "I'm Scottish, not European". Harmless, but nonsense really.

However, when I pointed this out, the reply came back, "Not for long", presumably referring to next year's referendum and the effect of Scotland's possible independence.

And that got me thinking.

Would I be right in saying that even in an independent country, Scottish people would still be British?

Hi

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

I'm part of a Scottish Werder Bremen fan group. In April, 3 of us are cycling to this years International Werder Fan w/e in Bremen to raise money for The British Heart Foundation & The Tartan Army Children's Charity (TACC). To encourage donations we're having a prize draw. The winner gets a three night hotel break in Bremen plus 2 x match tickets for Werder Bremen v Hoffenheim on the w/e of 3-5 May. (You'd need to pay for your own flights but Ryanair fly direct between Edinburgh & Bremen very cheaply on a Friday & Monday). All you need to do to find your way into the draw is donate a minimum of £10 on http://www.justgiving.com/schottischeswerder I know a few of you have visited Bremen before having been in touch on werder.de & I'm also aware of a few Werder fans who have a soft spot for Hibs, in part due to the colours. All being well, we'll also be able to offer a w/e over here for the Werder fans & hopefully be able to arrange match tickets too.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask or if anyone wants more info on Schottisches Werder or wants to join us on future trips like/friends request the FB page of the same name. There is also a FB page for the charity cycle called 'Wheel to the Weser'.

Thanks for your time.

I'm inclined to go with:-

http://www.50states.com/flag/image/nunst0006.gif

But also like:-
Nigeria is a class act as well, though, for obvious reasons!

The Government want to be able to block more Freedom of Information requests - in particular "industrial users" ie those pesky journalists who poke their noses into areas like expenses.

It would be a sad day if they were allowed to do this. I was only able to complete my dissertation at uni because of a FOI request. It was about Margaret Thatcher's foreign policy. I sent the same request for information on a summit that was held in Chequers to the Home Office and the Foreign Office. The Home Office pretty much told me to beat it as it would cost too much, but the Foreign Office agreed?! They did have a few little nuggets blacked out for security reasons, but without that information my dissertation would have been so much weaker.

I am instantly suspicious of anyone or organisation that wants to restrict access to it's information. It's like a wee chav who runs when he sees a policeman, you automatically think he's got something to hide.

But not until 2017  They're quite happy to bring in gay marriage (both Salmond up here and Cameron) that was in no manifesto but something of actual real importance has to wait. We could have a situ where Salmond is trying to get us in as a new member on a worse deal than the one England will opt out on - another reason why he is a joker! As much as my heart likes the idea of independence it's surely not in Scotland's interests to be a new EU member on worse terms than the UK deal. The worst aspect will be if England come out and Salmond wins the independence vote next year, all Scottish goods going South will have be tariffed post 2017 until they have trade agreements in place. Anyway, could be great news. It's cost the country a fortune, been politically disastrous, sucked in a huge amount of immigrants nobody was told about and cost the country jobs in many sectors since the old Soviet bloc joined - in particular financial services in Edinburgh - had dire consequencies for our fishing and food industries and been a bonanza for human rights lawyers. I supect this is just posturing by Cameron because he's scared of UKIP.

A few snowflakes should not be causing this sort of chaos that we see every year in the UK. The rest of Europe change to winter tyres and sit back and laugh at us. In Germany, if you are involved in an accident and don't have winter tyres, then your insurance probably won't pay up, even if you were not at fault. Get it sorted Petrie!

Does anyone else believe the official line that the twin towers & Building number 7 collapsed due to structural damage caused by fire?

Personally i dont, i believe that explosives were planted in both the tower and also building number 7 and it was this that caused the buildings to collapse. I know many people will shout me down saying conspiricy theorist etc But there is hard facts, loads and i mean loads of evidence to say that explosions from within the building caused them to fall.

So lets cut to the chase, please watch this video made by the truth movement. Its very credible made my engineers, architects, family members of loved ones who were lost that day.

So please watch the video and give me your comments on it, because we need truth on this one way or the other. If this was a plot then we need justice!!
