Who is your favourite sportsman or sportswoman??

Not including footballers in this.

Mines is probably Andy Murray or Novak Djorkovic.

Andy Murray mainly caus he is scottish :greengrin

and Djorkovic, i just really like for some reason. Thought he looked a good player when he was just starting his professional career and now he's 3rd in the world so i was right

I'm not one of these sad gets who follows him around the course with the rest of the throngs, but i really like Tiger Woods. He has completely revolutionised the game of golf and he has a skill and power which is awe inspiring! I met him in the States at the Funai Classic at Disney one year and he was a complete gentleman, with him actually stopping to say hello to my dad and I as he passed by!

I also like Paul Casey, Padraig Harrington and Ernie Els. They make a game with such a high skill requirement look fluent and simple at times!

Outwith golf:

Tennis: Andy Roddick - don't know why, but i've always followed Roddick - i like his unorthodox approach to the game and that he's neer tried to change anything, because what he has, works.

Baseball: Magglio Ordonez - has been consistently class for the Tigers the last 2 years and is in contention to take MVP this year - add Curtis Granderson to the list who has had a 20-20-20-20-20 season - only 3 other players have managed that in the history of the game!

Taylor has superb skill, but i refuse to call darts a sport.

Roger Federer, the guy is quite simply in a different league in his skill level, his temperament and his mental approach to any other current player on the tour.

I wasn't around in the days of Borg, Becker, McEnroe and Connors and I am not old enough to really remember Sampras and Agassi in their prime but I would say Federer has to go down as one of the greatest (if not the greatest) players to ever pick up a tennis racket.

And I would say he's my favourite non football sportsman.
