Should Scotland put out a shadow team against the All Blacks at the weekend?
As the game we need to win to progress is against the Italians next week, so why run the risk of injuries or suspensions against the best team in the world when we can rest our best players and have a better chance of progressing.

Thought please.

would say that in the majority of positions the 2 players vying for the starting slot are much of a muchness anyway so dont think it'd make much of a difference if we rest our 'stronger' players or not.

Only exception to that is probably jason whyte, would definately rest him on sunday as he puts so much into these games think it'd be asking an awful lot to play in 2 games that are going to be so physical

Don't know a thing about rugby apart from the object of the game is to score a lot of tries but I know enough to realise that we won't beat New Zealand even if we fielded our best team so we may as well look towards the Italy match as a way of progressing to the next round.

That lot wouldn't beat the All-Blacks if they fielded BOTH teams against them.

Besides, Nicol was interviewed on BBC Scotland on Friday morning and more or less admitted that the Anglo-Scottish Antipodean Rejects XV were going to 'throw' the game.

(His words). :cool2:

It'd be totally bloomin' mind-scramblingly hilarious if the Stumblebums try to protect their 'less useless' players against the All-Blacks, then go and lose to Italy.
