Scored today (albeit a tap in), article on BBC Scotland saying he wouldn’t mind staying in Scotland when his contract is up in the summer.

One worth thinking about in January? Certainly someone you’d like in your arsenal going to places like Tynecastle and Pittodrie. Boys a unit.

Think he suits a direct/long ball style of play and I don’t want that to be our style so no thanks

Main is a strong player but if we played the kind of football that suits him you could take a couple of thousand off the gate.

He's a big strong laddie who knows were the net is, Motherwell are dire at the moment and a cheek wee offer in January might tempt them and him.

Main is much better than Graham but right now with the football we are playing both would be good.

He would have been ideal. I’m not sure who we could get in January to play the role Lennon has used Flo in recently who could come in ready to hit the ground running although we managed to get Flo last winter and Scotty to play to his strengths. Point might be will it be easier to get a target man as a back up should Allan not come? I think we need both to be honest.

I’m sure someone posted on twitter saying he was a fan of ours before he went to Liverpool or used to wear a hibs under his training kit. It might explain the game of his life he has every time he plays us but nobody else.

Thats just not true, he's played well against many different clubs, not just Hibs.

In the Turkish 2nd tier after being relegated at the end of last season
Kari Arnason is a teammate

As pointless as it would have been for McGeouch to go to Aberdeen it would be for GMS to move to Hibs.
I think both him and Shinnie will sign new Aberdeen contracts although their agents may have other ideas and be touting them to English 2nd tier teams, especially Shinnie.

GMS will be courting better offers from bigger teams than Hibs when his deal runs out. No chance he would consider an offer from us, even if one was offered which it I highly doubt it would be.

Not for me a bit of a huddy with the skill limit of a centre half

I like him. Would be a good addition to the squad but would want better/a different type of striker as our first choice.

Big and strong striker

Would be a great foil for Flo or Macca to play off. An absolute hand full and we’d be lucky to get him. He’s the kind of player that we’d need to win games at Tynecastle and the like.

Then how come Boyle rarely shines against Aberdeen?

GMS reputation down south will not recover from not being able to hack it at Celtic as they think it’s a doddle playing for them up here.

Main is much better than you lot think he is. He is a solid striker..but if kamberi is doing the graft he's a better option the jmac for me..I'm getting a bit annoyed at him not contributing to the team.

Poor mans Louis Moult

Does any player that scores against the OF suddenly jump to the top of our wish list?

FFS get a grip!

We are better than that.

We are Hibs

Have to agree, think we should burst the bank for Moult in January and evaluate Maclaren once the loan deal ends.

Moults playing well for a Preston that are playing well in the Championship. No chance we could afford a price not wages.

We need another strong striker as Flo will miss games during a season. I think Main would be decent backup but if we can get better that would be great

Also gives us something different in our squad. You need different styles of play.

Main would be an excellent option up front would certainly give us something a bit different. Terrorised Aberdeen in the Scottish cup semi final.
