Hi guys, any thoughts on where's best to buy a new TV. I'm thinking Argos or Currys but I'm sure there used to be a lot more places that sold them (shops, not online). Don't really fancy Argos as want to see the TV up close before buying it so I'm thinking Currys.
Also, am I better buying a smart TV or just buying a normal one and then buying something like Google Chromecast or a firestick.

Cheers

John Lewis is always a good starting point. The staff are good and tend not to bull**** you, they price match and offer a free 5 year guarantee.
Your 2nd Q is really a personal preference thing, so best to chat to the sales person about what’s best for you.

Costco is always worth a look.

It’s been a few years since I bought a TV but from memory they’re always reasonably priced and you get a decent guarantee as well.

In terms of smart TV or not; I would guess that most TV’s are smart TV’s now.

In terms of Smart TV id say that's dependent on what you'll be plugging into it already. Sky, PS4 etc. If you don't have these then definitely get smart for catchup, Netflix etc.

Of course you may want Firestick for less legal options also.

Got a Panasonic from cash converters for just over £100. 49 inch turned into a smart tv with BTview box. Not state of the art but for that price if it lasts a year or two I'm happy.

Can never go wrong with Richer Sounds, normally have decent deals on, staff are knowledgeable and you usually get a 6 year guarantee
