As this is a UEFA game we'll have to wear assigned squad numbers tonight. Am I right in thinking however that these aren't fixed, and that we can pick a separate set of numbers for the main season?

They have been wearing squad numbers pre season without names , only change I’ve seen is Boyle who appears to now be number 10

I think there’s potentially different rules in UEFA competitions to domestic leagues. I’m not sure if we have similar rules to England, but Mkhitaryan had to wear a different number for Arsenal in the Europa League than the EPL, as he took #7 but Sanchez had already been registered under that number. That was fine under the EPL rules but not the UEFA rules.

I remember the squad numbers changed immediately after the Dinaburg tie which was the first Europa qualifying round, but that was twelve years ago.

Think that was because it was a testimonial the other 2 games they have worn squad numbers

According to the BBC Boyle is #10, Mallan is #14, everyone else is the same as last year.
