I see that the english transfer window opens on thursday as it is closing on August 9th, before the start of next season.

Nope, ours closes as usual on September 1st. I'm sure the plucky young lads at the SFA/SPFL will introduce it in time for the 2029/30 season.

Shpuld mean if McGinn goes to an English club the deal will be done in plenty of time for us to have use of the transfer money.

Interesting that they are, I've always thought it should close before your first league game.

Would personally scrap the January window too... But that's actually been quite beneficial recently :greengrin
