Derby. Getting a decent run started in the league is more important for me in the long run.

That said, can't we have both?? 😝

I'm going with the semi final. When you play each other three or four times a season you're going to lose one or two sooner or later. Cup wins or finals dont come along that often (well they didnt until recently :greengrin) Of course the correct answer is to win both.

A win at Hampden and lose just by the one goal to the cheats after out playing them for 90 minutes. Never nice losing to the Jambos but another cup final at Hampden would be nice.

We’d win the cup and still finish above Hearts in the league.

It's got to be beating Celtic in a cup semi-final surely? That's a WAY bigger achievement than winning a league game against Hearts (which there's a very good chance we'll do anyway).

Edit: If we're only allowed to WIN one, I'll still take the semi-final win and settle for a derby draw.

Derby win 100%.

I want to continue on with the unbeaten run against them - I think we're at 7 so far and I also want to get our league season back on track.

I want to win on Saturday as well but a win on Tuesday will please me more than a defeat on Saturday would hurt me.

Hi Heid Yin

A semi-final win is far, far more important, as it will give us a chance to win one of only two trophies any SPL side outwith Celtic can realistically win.

Beating them is now so yesterday and frequent that the game has lost its edge, so they can have their now rare win, though, as always, they will lift their game to achieve it. We will have another 3 derbies to put them back in their customary place.

The derby is the biggest game of Hearts season, it's not even the biggest game in our week. Over the course of a season we'll have multiple opportunities to ensure we finish above Hearts. We've got one chance to gurantee a LC final place and winning it would sicken that lot over the city. Racking up 3 major trophies in a decade would be a huge achievement for us.

Can't believe folk would give up the chance of a cup win, real measurable success, to win a bog standard league match even against them. We won't win the league but we could win the cup. Once again something that hearts can't and won't manage. We will win league matches against them this year but might not get to another cup final for a while. Always take the real success when you can. Pretty boy put it well above, hearts biggest games are against us, our biggest games are semis and finals

Semi final. The ones to end Celtc's run, and a final against poorer opposition.

A chance of silverware over a derby league game for me. Although losing to them would be sickening!

Losing to them can be overturned on the 27th December.

Good question. Win against the weegies and get to a final (which we could lose) and then get a draw against the poppy thieves? Or perform well on Saturday, lose, and then totally scupper the hordes from the midden next Tuesday?

I favour the latter. Cannae stand that shower of cheats.

It would need to be a much, much, bigger game before I’d consider preferring a win before any game against herts. No capital H. They don’t deserve one.

Semifinal every time. We've been spoiled by the number of Hampden trips since 2000 and it would be easy to start taking these for granted, but all you have to do is look back to earlier years when a semifinal or final were rare events. Hearts games will be along soon enough and take care of themselves. Hampden semis need to be savoured and won.

It's a poll on a supporters forum not some contractual statement that nobody gives a **** about tomorrow.

From a hugely selfish POV I'd rather we ended their unbeaten run at ER in the league as I'll be there. And I love few things more in the world than beating Hearts.

But I'll be as invested as circumstances allow me to be tomorrow, that's for sure. And at £7 or so a pint, that's a lot of investment!!
