Did anyone else watch this?

What a fantastic game, absolutely kinetic rugby.

Highlight for me was Damian Mckenzie's try- absolutely sublime hand-off from Havili and tben just blistering pace from a player who was something like third-pick when the Lions toured and never actually featured.

One of the best games I've seen in a long, long time.

Not the best rugby but very exciting. SA are massive! Match winner was only 80kgs though. Just proves the saying that rugby has a place for all shapes and sizes. ABs are just a winning machine, even with some players rested they still pick up wins in tough places.

Very exciting game. Could easily have gone either way.

Going to see the All Blacks at Murrayfield next month. Cannot wait!

:agree:

There were a fair few clumsy moments but also a lot of slick passing from the ABs. I think it's a good point about their mentality. When it got to the end of the first half SA tried to kick to touch to end the half but failed. NZ made it clear they wanted to keep the ball in play and work for the try. They pushed up to the Springbok 22 but lost possession. SA then kicked for a line-out, I think in reaction to what the ABs had done. It ended up with the ABs kicking for touch, but essentially they were steering the Springboks. Must be a contender for the longest first half!

New Zealand could easily field 2 sides, plus subs, that could compete with the best that everyone else could offer.

its frightening the talent that can’t get into their side, or even selected for the squad. And for all the talent and skills, their attitude is outstanding.

McKenzie and Beuden Barrett are electric to watch, mercurial.

Definitely.

Barrett, before he went off was what you would expect a world-class player to do. He made a few mispasses but they were outweighed by his good passes. He has a hard shirt to fill but so far he is doing it in style.

Mckenzie just looks so desperate to challenge for the full-back slot, it's a joy to watch him. I feel sorry he has such competition in the backs.
