The player died in April at the age of 44 following a cardiac arrest.

A huge own goal by Paddy Power.

Spectacular own goal indeed.

It would be a genuine mistake but an absolute howler.

Hilarious.

Paddy Power seem to do a lot of stunts and jokes, but they are not as funny as they think they are. The one where they pitched up at Ibrox (bravely at the crack of dawn) with some green traffic cones and two men in yellow vests prior to Celtic's Champions League game was a joke that I never understood.

It will get publicity though and that's all they really care about.

I don't think even Paddy Power are that insensitive to be honest, clearly someone copying and pasting a list of candidates from the last managerial race and overlooking his inclusion.

A genuine mistake which they have apologised for and anyone getting thier knickers in a twist about it needs to get out more.

No value in that. It'd have to be 100/1 + before you could tempt me.

Don't think anyone is getting their knickers in a twist. Just saying it's a bit of an own goal.

Are you on the wind up? Or did you really not get the joke?

Loads of huns seem to be, all part of the "anti Rangers agenda", so all good.

No, didn't really get the joke. 19368
Was there a comment from Pedro or something?

Massive cock up by whoever it is that's supposed to check these things before they get published in the media. However I don't believe for a second that it was done maliciously.

It was apparently up for around 5 minutes before someone realised their mistake and took it down.

Loved him as a player..hard as nails..

Liked him too, though I'd forgotten he had a spell with Rangers!

He was perhaps a touch unlucky to have played at a time when England had a surfeit of central defenders, with a good number of players ahead of him in the pecking order.

Nothing worse than having to get a joke explained to you - never noticed the spelling
