I dont get how Darrens can be reduced to a yellow (and rightly so!) however, no further action will be taken against the morton boy for diving? Fyvie last year got hammered for it against the huns.

I would like to know what the SFA think happened. Are they saying there was no headbutt? If so, then why no punishment for Oyenuga? Or are they shrugging their shoulders saying they don't know if there was a headbutt but Darren was aggressive and confrontational so he should get a yellow card?

Here's a thought.

People say that, initially, the ref was going to book Oyenuga.

Perhaps he got a yellow for the foul, and a yellow for simulation?

In that event, it's right that there should be no further action.

That's fine and I'd agree with that but then why hasn't Oyenuga had to face further punishment for dropping to the ground like he'd been shot?

If it's been deemed that there was no headbutt; then Oyenuga clearly feigned injury.

It's just the usual nonsensical approach to things like this by the SFA.

Especially given that the Oyenuga result happened before the McGregor hearing.

The two feed off each other, if there was no butt then there must have been simulation.

If there was no simulation then McGregor must have butted.

Here we have it where McGregor didn't headbut and Oyenuga didn't fake it. Begs the question, HTF did Oyenuga end up on the floor?

McGregor's ferocious approach unsettled him so much that he momentarily lost his footing.

The ref actually had a grip of the Morton player when Darren arrived on the scene , Darren didn't stop in time and barged into them both by accident

Last night, IMO, he was right to use the linesman's word. Can't see that it was a mistake, as the linesman called it correctly.

Making him play is the best possible punishment.

Watch Mcgregor put a clean tackle 5 minutes in and get a yellow , Honestly the poor refeering towards hibs is ****ing scandelous , Our players get lumps kicked out them time and time again week in week out and nowt happens , Bartley puts in his first tackle and gets booked , Their is poor referring and there is out and out cheating in this country.

3 red cards reduced on appeal in one season, simply because when challenged there was no case to answer. That's well beyond the law of averages and smacks of bias and vengeance by the officials. Hibs forced to play ??? many minutes in key games with 10 men as a result. Be glad when we're out of this ****ty league and get into the big ****ty league.

And, just as they did with Bartley, watch out for the network of corrupt officials targeting Darren for a red card in the next few matches. Fantom fouls and any excuse to send him off, almost guaranteed.

The SFA have been tiptoeing through a minefield regarding each case of our rescinded red cards this season.
The outcry that would have followed had the last one (especially) been upheld would of - and should have - been massive.
As an earlier poster said, on average, how many wrong red cards (and that's just the ones that SFA admitted to being wrong) can a club in any league expect to get in one season?

Reduced to a yellow for what offence exactly?

As ridiculous as this whole episode has been, Daz absolutely deserved a yellow for charging in the way he did. I love that he did, as any good captain should, but that would always usually be a yellow. The fact it was a straight red was ridiculous and I'm glad it's finally been 'made right' today.
