M8 /M74 roadworks

I'm heading to Salford tomorrow and looking to be there around half ten.
Travelling from Livingston along the M8, will the roadworks at Ballieston affect my journey time getting across to the M74.
Should I maybe go along the A71?

The roadworks aren't really that bad, I have been pleasant surprised each time I have driven to and from Glasgow leaving from Edinburgh. Give yourself an extra 30 minutes and you should be well in time.
