Actually had no idea they were doing so well until witnessing one of their fans going mental in Feurterventura when they beat BATE. Was mad enough when Shamrock Rovers got to the group stages of the Europa.

I think Rodgers should shoulder a lot of the blame for their crap performance tonight. They set out to contain the opposition and barely managed it. If they had gone out with even a bit of adventure they would have got through a bit more convincingly.

It looks like City aren't blessed with glory hunters yet. They'll come once it becomes obvious that Peps football is the best in England and the Etihad is the place to be.

You might even sneakily take a match in yourself as you know quality when you see it. :agree:

Disagree, in the South of England. after their first title the amount of Citeh shirts and supporters that suddenly appeared was remarkable, people had sudden links to Manchester I had never heard of before. Much like the United fans of the 90s/00s, people's grandfathers suddenly came from there, or and old uncle had taken them to Maine road 30 years ago etc etc.

Citeh have tons of GHs, they just don't go to games.

Not the fault of the real fans though. I think the point is that city habe always had a remarkably loyal suppory despite making hibs look like a well run and lucky club at times.

On that though, i always thought the city support would be brilliant, give that they basically won the football lottery, but they seem rubbish since the arabs took over and the atmosphere always seems terrible at etihad - always been a disappointment to me.
