Just realised my passport is expired and I'm planning on going to the away European game in July. How long does it normally take for them to process and send out a new passport? Just got the form today so will send it ASAP!

We just had to change my daughters passport from a kids to an adults. Thought it would be easy as just sent back the old passport. Took over 5 weeks to get the new one but that's cause there was a problem with her photos. They wanted an up to date photo of her as she just looked the same as in her old photo. Had to explain to them that it was an up to date photo that had only just been taken and thats how she looked lol.

In short, if you send it away now, you should be fine.

Quickest way is to fill form online, print and sign declaration then send with old passport and new photos.Mine was back in less than a week.

Anybody know the time scale in replacing a lost Passport?

Need it sorted for Europe with the Hibees.

Not too long mate, fill in the form online to declare it lost, you will get a call from the passport office to answer some personal questions then they will provide you with a reference number which you put onto your application form that you can also do online. Print and sign the declaration form and post back with new photos. My wife's lost passport was turned around in just over two weeks.

Due to time restraints, I recently used the Premium Service at Glasgow, £128 and got my passport renewed in 4 hours.
Cannot complain about the service, staff were most helpful.
Plenty of parking in the side streets, but only for a maximum of 3 hours.
5 minute walk to city centre shops/pubs/restaurants.

Talk about a bunch of Dick Turpins?

Is it not bad enough getting shafted by the bona fide crooks and wide boys out without this lot joining in?

"Call connection to HM Passport Office Advice line, calls charged at £1.55 per minute plus your phone provider's access charge. Similar services are available at a reduced cost from gov.uk."

I don 't care what your politics are, that is a damn disgraceful charge for a government service. :grr:

It's not a Government phone line - it's a money making business set up to provide for a fee what you can get for much less from the Government. Don't phone it.

Here's the official line https://www.gov.uk/passport-advice-line

The one you are looking at says, "This website is not affiliated with Her Majesty's Passport Office from which similar information is available from gov.uk (http://www.gov.uk/). We are an independent service provider offering independent services & advice".

Phew. Thanks for that Grunt.
There's a bunch of sneaky, conniving barstewards out there, sailing with a Jolly Roger disguised as a Union Jack. .
