Hibernian Ladies swept aside Hamilton Academical on Sunday to move to the top of the Scottish Women’s Premier League.
The rampant Hibees thrashed the hapless Acciess 8-1 at Albyn Park thanks to goals from Abigail Harrison (4), Chloe Arthur (2) and Lucy Graham (2).
Manager Chris Roberts praised his side’s professional performance, commenting: “The new season has been very stop-start and it has been hard to build and maintain any momentum.
“So, it’s a credit to the girls that they have done so well and produced a very professional performance.
“We’re disappointed to have conceded a goal, however we’re pleased with the response against a much-improved Hamilton side.
“It was also good to see the new girls, Abbi and Chloe, get on the scoresheet because they’ve settled in so well since joining.”
Hibernian Ladies: Reid, Williamson (McMahon 70’), Murray, Brownlie, Smith, Graham (Tweedie 65’), Robertson, Richards (Turner 65’), Arnot, Harrison, Arthur. Substitutes not used: Hunters.
