Key position.

Something we have struggled with over the years.

Williams while he wasn't world class...was the best we have had for a while. His form dipped as we changed managers / coaches but still a steady SPL keeper. Would have happily kept him - just worked on improving our defence and rest of team!

Not sure who is available but who is within our range / looking likely?

Loads of players out there. Stubbs said in a video last week that he was on his way back to East Mains to get the goalie long-list of 20 down to 4 or 5 targets. The work is on-going, we'll just have to show a bit of patience.

The only surprising thing in that comment from Stubbs was you would have expected Marsella to have whittled that list down to 3 or 4 appropriate candidates for Stubbs - this either in his role of scout or goalkeeping coach.

If not then why is he employed?

Maybe Stubbs asked him for a long list or maybe Stubbs and Marsella will be working together to whittle it down.
