Car overturned eastbound on m8 probably delayed the lesser greens.

FT - 2:1 for the Hibees.

Terrific couple of results this week and a great recent series of performances / results for the U-20s. :flag:

That's the first U20's game I've been to since the final against Rangers a few years ago and I really enjoyed it. Both teams played good football and there were no Hibs fans heckling the players.

Shame the first team don't play that way!!

Well you were keeping good company :greengrin

I was impressed with Andrew Black at right back, Bradley Donaldson at centre back and Jay Doyle up front although all eleven played pretty well. Most of the lads are around 18 and Sellick had a player that reputedly cost them £800k.

Hibs 2 Celtic 1 has such a nice ring to it don't you think? :greengrin

Perhaps it is time to move more U20's players into the senior team

Thoroughly enjoyed the game tonight. Looks like our future's in not too bad shape if this is an indication of the quality of young player coming through the ranks.
If the team sheet is correct I was particularly impressed with Paul Grant, Andrew Black, Jordon Foster, Bradley Donaldson and Max Todd. Thought they all played well though.
To beat the league champions, who looked a much bigger and stronger side, twice in the space of a couple of days is quite an achievement.
Well done guys!:aok:

I'd say only Forster is ready to make the jump - huge credit has to go to James and Alan Maybury this year for the actual tactics and set up - they allow the lads to get forward at every opportunity and get the full backs really working hard and playing high.

Jay Doyle is just one of these strikers that gets in the right place at the right time, even when he's having a stinker. He seems to have taken on board advice - he was looking rather chunky recently and his work rate has improved ten fold.

I really like Andy Black - my worry is he's slight but what an engine he has. Horrible is a lovely, controlled midfielder but again he'll need to bulk up a wee bit.

The one I was hugely impressed with when I saw him recently was young Baptie - he looks to have all the attributes of a terrific defender.

Thought young Forster was a stand out last night. Seemed to pop up everywhere when needed and looks to have a real will-to-win about him. Certainly going to be a star if this performance is anything to go by.
Haven't enjoyed a game at ER as much for a long time. Nice to see young Alex Harris in attendance too.

Yeah, I don't know what his official capacity is but when I've seen the u20s he's been helping with the warm-up and then sitting on the bench.

I'm sure in his interview in a programme earlier in the season he said he was grateful for being allowed to help with the preparation etc.

Seems like a good guy.

Alan has been helping to coach then since August. I'm sure he is doing some of his badges

Mibbe another good move by Fenlon, the signing of Maybury could have been for the long term?
