0-0 at Carshalton v Enfield Town. Nothing much to talk of. Sergey did pick out an excellent Sav Blanc before the match mind you.

Would be amazing to see them reach the final.

Off work today was going to go, phoned up at half 12 and they were not allowed to sell any tickets after 12.

Some gaps in the ground too. Odd.

I can get tickets for Carling cup final anyway, went to one couple years ago but the seats are always most expensive ones so dont usually bother.

Bradford really got their tails up here. Nearly 3!

Villa won't be good enough to turn them over in the next leg IMO. Not 2-0.

That young lad Wells really showed what you can do with a turn of pace. Don't nees to be a world beater.

Riasa produces wonderful players. The Americans have superb athleticism, strength, agility and speed aided by tremendous attitude. There are two players who are current students one is English and the other an American - they are just wonderful. The American Oliver is be tracked by Leeds while Luke is tipped to go to QPR. I keep telling them about the mighty hibees - they are great kids!!!!

Where have all Villa's recognised players gone? Given, Ireland, Warnock, Dunne, Bent, Agbonlahor. Petrov has been battling cancer, but their team seems to have vanished into thin air, to be replaced by a group of reserve/youth team players that nobody has heard of. It's a Sunday League team trying to pass itself off as an EPL side. They were a terrific side under O'Neill, and whilst they have moved some of their top players on e.g. Young and Downing, a team of complete unknowns has appeared from nowhere under Lambert. He's playing a risky strategy.

Lambert decided he didn't like them all so he replaced them with signings from league 2

Demba Ba booked for diving for a pen, not sure who the commentator was (Robbie Earle?) but he thought it wasn't a dive. I thought it looked a clear dive and a deserved booking. Swansea went right up the other end and scored. Then Ba had a goal dissallowed for offside which was very very tight.

Looked like Ba just stumbled to me, think the keeper done brilliantly to avoid contact. Marginally offside. Officials had a blinder. Swansea look like a great team. Defend well, good in posession and Michu is the calmest striker in the EPL. Don't think I've seen him miss a chance? :aok:

Can Swansea play in Europe?

When the Welsh league was set up, Welsh clubs continuing in the English setup were told that they would be ineligible for European qualification. However, when Cardiff reached the English cup final a couple of years ago Platini indicated that he was minded to change that regulation. The answer to your question is No, but it might well be Yes if the question arises. (Hope Bradford win the cup).

To make matters worse the price for anyone tonight was £5.00 a head.

Struggling in League one, as good as bankrupt and 3 wins at home from 15 league matches.

No real shock it's a poor crowd for a small time cup tie live on TV in winter.

How do you mean? In our most recent televised games we've sold out our end at hearts and had excellent crowds and atmospheres against Hearts in the cup and Celtic at home?

Our attendences are up from last year as well

I don't have sky so no idea what the crowd was like - I was only commenting on possible reasons for a so called 'shocking' crowd.

If it was 13,000, then I'd say that was a bleedin' great crowd in the circumstances!

Most recent home derby was the cup so that bumps up attendance. The Celtic game we gave away bout 6000 tickets.

But why would we need an excuse? Regardless of the reasons for it we had good crowds?

Just find it a strange comment to make when we've had decent attendences this season

Edit:- it was 3000 tickets we gave away but a lot of them would have gone anyway, i was one that benefitted from a free ticket, if i didn't get it i would have bought one.

They put the home fans in the side stands tonight and the Preston fans were put behind the goals on one side.
