Looking further back than 2001, it also happened in 1995/96 when we also went towards the end of November before losing, and 94/95 when we went into February the following year unbeaten at home in the league - 7 wins and 5 draws.

I'd say 2000-01 - going into November we'd only lost to celtc away 0-3. Aberdeen beat us at home 2-0 in November and we didn't lose another home game til that 2-5 v celtc at the end of the season.

For me the more important question was when was the last time we went through November unbeaten? (Although I think we might have got close once under Yogi). I have lost count of the times we actually show good form at the start of the season but come Halloween, we can't buy points. Pat's definitely instilled a stomach for a fight into the present squad, so fingers cossed for the rest of this month and next.

Should have said I didn't know the answer when I asked.

Going by other answers it would appear you are right though.

Aye, November always been an iffy month since I were a lad.

IIRC even Turnbull's Tornadoes had a couple of bad Novembers.

It was 2000, the wheels came off when we lost Aberdeen 2-0 at home, a game we would have easily won a couple of weeks before. My recollection is that central to things coming apart was that Latapy & Sauzee were out of contract at the end of the season and Hibs couldn't afford to keep both at a cost of around £15K a week.

I think that was the game when the German porn star was clean through at 0-1 and made a complete hash of it.

Minutes later it was 2-0.

Our November form is one of the great hibs.net myths :greengrin

I reckon the great start to the season was down to the fact we had practically no injuries and a very settled first team. Our luck ran out when we eventually picked up injuries and our squad was a little exposed. We had quality but maybe not quite enough to keep pace with Rangers and the vultures didn't help.

Certainly don't see Latapy as the hero everyone else does after his behavior. People talk about KT "disrespecting" the club!

After a blip in November that season, we had a good return of results over the next couple of months. It actually wasn't until about the end of February/beginning of March that things began coming apart.

Latapy is easily my second favourite ever Hibs player, behind Sauzee.

Were we not unbeaten in the league come november in 2007? We were unbeaten when we beat Rangers at Ibrox 1-0 and then lost away to Motherwell the following week when we could have gone back to the top of the league.

We lost at home to Motherwell in the league cup (4-2) but thats all I can think of pre November...?

Let's see if we can get through October without losing before we start thinking about November. Even a couple of draws would be nice.

Just checked. St Mirren beat us 1-0 at Easter Road on 27th October.
