Terrible result for Murray earlier tonight against Jeremy Chardy, losing in straight sets 6-4 6-4.
Murray never looked comfortable at all and especially struggled with his serve.
It's likely to be his final match before the US Open, which begins in just over a week and it's not been the best preparation for him on the North American hard courts after his withdrawal from the Toronto Masters last week with an injury.
Hopefully he can use the next 10 days or so to get the right balance between rest and practice and he can show his best form in New York.
