Being forced to work whilst ill on your day off?

You cannot be forced to work on your entitled days off.

Depends on a lot of factors, for example contract, type of employment etc.

You can't be forced to work at all, but being penalized for not working whilst ill would be more frowned upon than whilst on hols. Be sure to get a doctors' note to support your position legally.

It's you're rostered rest day there's no way an employer can make you work it. Thats forced overtime which is illegal, I'd be right on to the union mate.
