He hits top speed about ten metres before anybody else and by then it's game over. Superb.

I used to run the 100m at high school.

I managed a silver at the county championships on two occasions and ran a PB of 11.17s and thought I was fast.

Some of the guys I ran with could break the 11s mark, which was stunning to watch.

These guys are a whole new level altogether - sensational speed.

Sprinters - pah! It's an easy number. Youse only had to run in the summer, us long-distance boys (and girls) had to run the winter cross-countries, too! :na na: Bolt would be greeting if he had to do the course at Irvine.
