His last book 11-22-63 is one of his best stories yet. The new one looks to be getting stupendous reviews as well. One of those writers who seem to write better as they age. I'm not always in the mood for him, but if you want something simple but clever, trashy and slightly disturbing, hes the King.

Any fans out there?

I like a lot of his work, but I tried to read Cell and just found it terrible. Dont think I've tried any of his new stuff since that one.

Just realised I used to read quite a lot of Stephen King's work: Cujo, It, Misery, Carrie, Firestarter, The Stand, Needful Things, Gerald's Game, Tommyknockers, The Eyes of the Dragon - enjoyed most of them, he can write good stories, several have been made into decent films - Carrie I remember from way back, the Green Mile, Misery and I enjoyed IT. I even read the Richard Bachmann novels - enjoyed Running Man, don't remember too much about the others.

I left SK behind as we entered the new millennium though for some reason... but his latest intrigues me

Still never read The Shining or even seen the movie - .. things to do, I guess
