Scotsman (Sport): Kilted pupils go down a treat on Italian pistes

SKIING: The Scottish Schools’ Junior team of Iain Innes (Boroughmuir High School), Fraser Middleton (The Glasgow Academy), Zak Vinter (Mearns Castle High School), Fraser Buchan (Strathallan School) and Lachlan Veitch (Lochaber High School) produced a superb performance to finish fifth at the World Schools Ski Championships in Gressoney, Italy. With slalom and giant slalom races, it was a magnificent effort in the under-14 category, especially considering four of the five Scottish boys are a year younger than the age cut-off.
