Almost as bad as the Indians in Australia.

Recovered a bit and finished on 192 all out. Pakistan finish on 42-0. Plenty to work on by the sounds of it.

I love my test cricket but can't be bothered now when Pakistan involved. Although it's probably only a few bad apples i'm sceptical about anything that now happens on the pitch. Least Kamran Akmal not playing as that laddie could put anything down.

This is not looking good, lots of chat about similarity with Brisbane last year but with the pitch only going to take more spin, I dread to think what Ajmal will do in the second innings...

Much better this morning.

However I really enjoyed watching the Aussies through the night. What a partnership between Clarke and Ponting!

Can't quite decide whether the Aussies are really back or the Indians are just awful. Ponting's innings was delightful; Clarke's in awesome form right now and the bowlers are looking very disciplined and impressive - no one bowler as outstanding as the big names of the past, but every one bowling good line and length and taking wickets.

Can't help feeling England could have (should have?) had the Pakistanis out today - if they'd held those catches?

I see Derek Pringle reckons Australia should drop Ricky Ponting for someone younger ... :faf:

I can't believe I got up early for that.

Woeful from England, Strauss looked scared of his own shadow.

Two of Englands best batsmen out early on and England 19/2 at tea.

This wont last five days thats for sure.

Strauss looking a bit more comfortable here.

Theres been a silly amount of lbws in this match so far, Morgan the latest one to go 89-5.

They mentioned yesterday that they are about 8 shy of the most LBW's in any test series. Considering this is a 3 test series that's some stat.

Pakistan 78 ahead at tea on day two and building a decent partnership.

This last session will proably decide the game. If England get 3 wickets they are in the box seat, but if not, I can see them losing it.

Not really followed last couple of days as been in Edinburgh and didnt bother yesterday.

Currently England are 84-1 chasing a target of 324. I'll have a guess and say England will get the target and reduce series to a 2-1 loss.

Would be an amazing run chase if they got there. Hope they do it.

Bell dropped from the one day squad.

Reckon another couple will be having sleepless nights.

Strauss will be okay. There doesn't seem much wrong with his captaincy and he was one of their least bad batsmen.

Morgan is simply inept, Bell was supposed to be the best player of spin in the side but was pathetically bad. Pietersen's troubles against spin are well known, but he also appears to me to be a fair weather type. If he comes in at 150-2 he'll score a hundred and England'll win. If he comes in at 30-2, England'll be 50-4.

Those three scored fewer than 200 runs in 6 innings against Pakistan. Pietersen's strengths outweigh his flaws - for the moment - and will see him okay until the winter tour of India at least. Morgan has had his chance and done little with it. He deserves to be dropped. Bell has faced these questions before and survived. I'm not sure he deserves a second chance this time round.
