Whoever we get will need to be able to shuffle the pack to some extent as we have one of our weakest ever squads.

Does anybody have a list of when the current squads contracts expire

Thankfully victor palsson is out of contract this summer.

Pretty sure welsh, Stevenson, stack, oconnor and sodje are also up for renewal.

It's at a time like this that you realise that there are advantages in signing players on short term contracts and loans.

At least the incoming Manager will be able to shuffle the pack if he feels it is necessary to do so and of course we all know that it is.

I think Stack, Murray, Stevenson, Palsson, Welsh, O'Connor, Sodje, Griffiths and Towell don't have contracts for next season.

Might be more. Hopefully.

Maybe a wee bit room for some change in January then if we could get some of them out early

However cannae see many teams rushing to sign any Hibs players

Easier to list those whose contracts continue beyond June 2012. Ten players in this category:

Booth
Galbraith
Hanlon
O'Hanlon
Osbourne
Scott
Sproule
Stephens
Thornhill
Wotherspoon

The other 17 (including the four youngsters out on loan) are away next June - except Griffiths who could be away in January, if we don't manage to extend his loan.

It is evidently a bad team. They are all here and we are a point off the bottom.

Three and a half!! Mental.Exactly . Given his age and track record I can`t believe there was much danger of another club outbidding us when we signed him or in future . If we`re relegated ( personally don`t think it`ll happen since we`re bad but so are another 6 or 7 teams ) he`ll be a useful player to have in division 1 . Know in other threads fans criticise short contracts and loan deals but that is modern football and we have to get used to it for players and managers ( we`re used to managerial changes being seen as sign of failure but it`s not necessarily the case ) . General manager with new manager every year or so ( like now but without disruptive and expensive managerial changes midseason like now ) and no players with contracts of more than 2 years except in exceptional cases .
