:agree:

Hibs have always had a great youth academy/system. But the players we process through our academy are then blatantly stolen by the Old Firm or English Championship sides. Hopefully we can hold on to our next bunch for as long as possible as we've got some very bright prospects coming up in the near future.

Interesting that the Scotland u19s squad got named yesterday and not one Hibs player, strange one.

Not really that strange, I cannot recall one Scotland youth team that has had a large no of Hibs players. Always at least 6 or 7 with the OF but very rarely do they progress to the u21 set up.. Unlike at Hibs where we always seem to have the most.

Stolen is a bit extreme, they offer bids which we either accept or reject. (Yes there is media agitation also).

Also, if they are good footballers who wish to progress to the highest levels their talent, work ethic and attitude can take them, then they will leave Hibs. With the best will in the world and the deep love we all have for the club, we are not the pinnacle of football. (Although the old firm are hardly much higher up the foodchain).

It gives credit to me for the stats but I certainly didn't give them the team line up. Was at the game so know there was 11 v 11.

Great performence by all the team!

Did we not sell them for money or something?

Not really, we sell players for as much as you'd get for a jar of pickles, so it is basically stolen. So what's your sarcasm about?

Are you Kenny Miller or an actor of a Hibs supporter? You can't tell me your satisfied with the cash we've got for some of the quality players that Hibs made and looked after. We're a feeding club, we sell great players, stash the money and pay diddly squat for a half-decent replacement. We don't get near as much money for these players that we should have got.

£4m for Brown, £2m for Thomson, £1.8m for O'Connor............

Bloody expensive pickles if you ask me.

How can we stash money from transfer fees if we dont get any? You aren't really making any sense.
Answer me this. When was the last time either of the old firm stole a player from Hibs that was under contract for more than a year? Actually any club?

Celtic 2-0 up in the big U19 game. Watched 10mins of Rangers v Hibs, which was excellent. Hibs' football particularly good.

Praise indeed.
