Who for ?

Chelsea judging by Sky Sports website. 25 yards out seemingly.

Drogba - smashed it from around 25 yards, with the ball moving violently in the air.

Bolton look the better side for the most part, but the game is pish.

Although it sticks in the throat, it was a fantastic strike by Drogba.

It's 2-0 at half time.

Spotted Levein in the crowd beside Steve Bruce (commentators didn't twig).

Who would he be there to see???

Andy Gray but he failed a late sexism test.

No idea, there's no Scottish player in either squad.

He was also at the Aston Villa vs Man City game on Saturday. I know Bannan was on the bench, but it seemed like a jolly to me :agree:

Hmmmmm....

He was spotted by ESPN at the Villa game on Sat night where again there were no Scots on show,

Commentator - "unless Barry Bannon comes off the bench he's here on a jolly".

Looks like he's made a long weekend of it on SFA eckys.

Whatever next - a delegation to Lithuania for a blether with Vlad?

You commentate for ESPN then or just blatant plagiarism?

Of course - 2 Scotsmen couldn't possible use the same terminology to describe an obvious situation.

Perish the thought - hang on a second - has someone in history used that phrase too?!

No, you just quoted word for word what the ESPN commentator said and he's plainly not a Scot.

Why are the eyes rolling?

Did he not try to get that Mceachran to play? It's probably not spelt like that!!!

How else would you like me to put it? He was at a game, where the only Scottish player was on the bench and unless he conceivably came off the bench, he was clearly on a jolly.

As it is, as soon as the camera panned to him in the stand, I said to my fiance "who the hell is he there to see - must be on a weekend jolly, unless he was at another game in the afternoon". I just don't have a national TV audience to verify!

Josh McEachran could play for Scotland as he's only played for England u-21's but I think he's pledged his allegiances to England.

A coincidence then. You're not commentating for ESPN, I'm mistaken.

Guess I'd better avoid saying "He looked offside to me" whilst watching any game in future then, eh?

He was clearly on a jolly, and I'm pretty confident me and the commentator weren't the only people who said as much!

Bit of an anticlimax, the headline on the BBC homepage currently says Bolton 4 - 0 Chelsea :cool2:
