I have been supporting Hibs long enough to know that we always drop points when they are a certianty and then steal them out the blue (no pun intended) from matches we thought we had no hope in.

St Mirren always beat us at Love Street. Inverness always take points off of us. We can't beat St Johnstone. We are always worse in the second half of the season.....

Time to break a few habits I think or, yes, we will go down.

Don't really care, as long as we avoid defeat in the two games against St Mirren and the game against Hamilton.

Realistically, if we only get a point or two from those 3 games, we are probably going down.

i'd like to think we could get at least 5 pts with this current team of gash,
if we make some signings i'd think we could pick up 12-18pts.

We've picked up 16pts in 20 games it's a bit of an ask to expect the same number of points from the next 9 games...

hopefully the happy clappers are correct we need all the points asap!

Hail hail

Looking very tough over the next couple of months - we have to turn the corner and start picking points up or we really are doomed :agree:

Ideally we want to be going into the bottom 6 split with as many as possible - if it's tight I don't think we will stay up = we will bottle it.

History shows we are always terrible in the 2nd half of the season after Christmas.

With the currrent manager and players, I reckon 5 points.

With three good signings (made soon) in the right areas, probably about 12 points. But that depends on the (current) manager getting the best out of who's available.

With the right manager (ie the other Calderwood) and four good signings (by the 31st), who knows? We'd probably have gotten 15-18 points.

Come on CC get some players in and get us rolling again!

Oh please. We played a 2nd division side and couldn't score a goal in 180 minutes.

Talk of TOP 6 is madness.

We are in a scrap for our SPL future and this scrap will persist till April.

Glad that there are diverse opinions, though! :-)

I'm one of those people that really believe Hibs are going to win every week. Even when the chips are really down I always think they'll pull it off. I can't help it, it's in my blood.....

Well here's a cheery thought, we haven't beaten a bottom 6 team yet this season and 13 of our last 18 games as it stands are against bottom 6 teams.

Except, ironically, the season we went down when we played alright.

The important thing in all of this is not to lose the 6 pointers. We still have more points on the board than the bottom club, who also are unlikely to improve. All we have to do is stop them beating us.

Fair point.

I think things to consider..

1. When Hibs last got relagated that team had more heart and determination to avoid the drop - this team don't.

2. I think Hamilton although below us are improving and will fight more than us. But looking at their remaining fixtures they have some tough games ahead too...
