Amsterdam Hotels

Looking for some Amsterdam Hotel recomendations. I've been loads of times but always with the boys on football trips etc and stayed in cheap and cheerful hovels. This time it's me and the ball 'n' chain for a Take That gig. :embarrass so looking for something a bit better this time, preferably with a spa.

Any recomendations?

The poshest one I've stayed in when there is the hotel de reewde lu. Spelling is a bit screwed but it's on damrak next to central station. Don't think it's got a spa but think it was classed as 4 star at the time on expedia.

They had room service which was great for munchies and cans of lager!

American Hotel is good, been there with the wife.

At the Leidsplein, so handy for bars & restaurants.
