Right guys, a bit of fun.

You have woken up as the one lucky ticket holder who scooped just over £113million in the largest jackpot in British lottery history. With your love of all things Hibernian, what do you do with that fortune? Not enough to compete with the big teams, but it would help us get better players. Assuming that you would spend it on Hibs!

being of a slightly more cynical disposition than yourself, I think I'd be releuctant to get involved beyond a mystery donation - because it would almost certainly end in tears. I'd buy Hearts, and have some fun.:cool2:

Give it to Rod to look after for me, I will have £114m in no time.

If I put money into Hibs and we lost a game, I probably would get abuse on here. Not sure if it would be worth it then!

actually you know what I would do, I would guarantee a donation of 1 million pounds towards players salaries every year for ten years. The money had to be spent though on increasing the player budget.

id do somethig silly like give Hibs £1m for giving me a tattoo, i'd let Rod do it (just for a laugh), perhaps a tattoo of the new boss?:greengrin

I would buy Rodders the latest Excel package, upgrade his current 1 to a new shiny 1 with balance sheet and p&l accounts templates.

Might even go mental and splash out on getting him a new abacus and scientific calculator aswell.

That'll get us playing 'fast, free flowing football' and we'll be splitting the old firm in no time.

Seeing as the old firm wages are about £30 million a year this little injection wouldn't have much long term impact!

£20 million to subsidise lower ticket prices for x years

£10 million to pay off all debt

£50 million for squad investment

£10 million for contingency fund

£10 million for a decent manager

£10 million to fill in the stadium corners

£3 million for scoreboards / large TV screens

£19,800 for a throne in place of my season ticket seat

£126 for myself for a celebration meal

...........On second thoughts, I'll give Hibs £50 and live a life of pampered unashamed luxury in Barbados, whilst still moaning about Hibs manager / players / board / catering facilities etc. :greengrin

Ten to fifteen mil and go all out for a couple of seasons on the condition that it's spent on players and management and once it runs out that's it and we continue the way we are now.

Still not checked my ticket yet!

Buy Hearts and only sign players from Papua New Guinea.

PNG are ranked 203 in the Fifa World Ranking - Bottom of the heap.

I would buy every seat in ER for the next 5 seasons and let everyone come for free:agree:

5 Seasons free 20,250 x 19 x 5 = 1,923,750 tickets at an ave. of £20 per ticket? =£38,475,000.

10-14000 loyal Hibbys get their next 5 seasons free(and don't they deserve it!) and the other 7000 can go to other, kids etc to build the fanbase for the future. The club gets 38mil up front which can be banked and immediatley start gathering interest but will obviously be used to run the club for 5 seasons. So.....full house every saturday AND good finance for the club.

I would also buy all the advetising hoardings and every week I would put things on it like.......the latest jokes, pictures of tidy burds, stuff ripping the Yams etc etc. Be my own personal canvas to be viewed by 20,250 amused Hibbys every 2nd week:) No idea how much this would cost but will round it off to 5mil for 5 seasons.

Next up would be a straight cash injection of £20,000,000 into the club for a 5 season plan. The money to be used on players wages in the mid to top range of bosman signings.

So.....

38,475,000
5,000,000
20,000,000
=63,475,000

leaving me roughly 50mil to play with. So if Rod got his cap out and asked for the odd mil or two to sign one or two exciting young prospects then I may be able to do some buisness:greengrin

And what about when the 5 yr plan is finished? Well hopefully the cash boost would have provided some exciting football and hopefull a trophy or three. Hopeflly inspired a whole new section of support through the free ticketing and raised the profile of the club creating extra revenue for the future etc.

You could buy Hibs and pump 3 or 4 Million into the club at least from the interest.

Id give a donation, every year, the interest would cover that.

Id also buy the boozers around easter road and stop them from going under.

Saying that id be living it up so much id prob be dead before any of that could be done.

First I'd buy my own dialysis machine, then pump half into the club. I'd then buy Hearts and shut them down, build a supermarket on tynecastle then rent every billboard in Edinburgh with a picture of me blowing a huge raspberry with the words underneath, thats for you wallace.

I know the urge would be huge but you got to keep the Yams. Would it no be more fun watching their faces when we are winning the league and buying the top players. There will be no better feeling than when we win the scottish cup and we can turn round and tell the ***** get it right up ye. With all their debt how much would it be to buy the Huns? Would love to put them out of business. Would call a press confrence for the morning and get them to take pics of me p***ing on the gates.

I would wipe out all of Hibs' debt, buy 20% of shares and make a £250,000 donation every season :agree:

I'd make Alex Ferguson an offer he can't refuse, buy two extra Season Tickets for the seats either side of me for Mixu and Yogi, then every week announce in a loud voice "now that's what you call a manager".

To show I am a decent person with no bitter hang ups I would give the Yams enough money for that light bulb they need, yes even up to 100w. Oh sod it, a packet of light bulbs.

After spending enough to make sure everybody who has ever been nice to me can live in the lap of luxury for the rest of their lives I would chuck a big chunk the way of the mighty Hibees.

After all, whats the point of mansions and cars and birds and booze on tap wall to wall if your fitba club is still not doing what you want it to.

One thing I have always thought is to move the HSC from Sunnyside to a massive purpose built building forming a filler for the corner between the FF and East. It would belong to the HSC though, not the club. ( I'm not a member by the way )

I would also extend the roofs of the FF and South to just behind each goal and move the East roof to two feet from the touch line. What an atmospheric ground we would have.

With enough money to Hibs to increase wages to English Championship levels and to decrease season ticket prices to about £250 for adults things should start looking up.
