Carrots

How come carrots don't taste like carrots any more - not the ones you get from Tesco anyway.

They used to taste sweet and carroty. Now they just taste like a bland crunchy vegetable.

Are the organic ones any better or should I perhaps go to a farmers' market/traditional grocer?

Either. Both better than anything a supermarket will give you. Same with all fruit and veg by the way, not just carrots.

Especially strawberries, its pointless buying them in a supermarket as they are tasteless.

If you've got space, try growing your own. They're always a million times better if you've grown them yourself.
