I think its about time for another once of these threads.

Looking at our run of the last 15 games, i think that we need someone like the man himself that can find feet and not just lump it up to the strikers like what was happening on Sunday. Yes, we had the ball for long periods at times passing about from the midfield to the defence but that doesnt threaten opponents. if we never played it back to the defence or the goalie it was getting pumped up right on top of their centre halfs who muat've been like thank you very much bread n butter easy.

It wouldnt cost us alot of money and he is constructive with the ball. I think this is worth a gamble.

THoughts????

I'm with you on this one - would love to see Boozy back at ER. The old he didnt make it at Hamilton doesnt quite stick with me. DO you honestly think a man of Boozy's calibre really wanted to be playing at Hamilton? His heart wasnt in it hence lack of application ultimately leading to him being moved on. I didnt see him greetin about it in the papers so my guess is he was glad to get out of Hamilton.

How people can say 'no way' to Boozy coming back baffles me. With the exception of Miller noone in our current midfield is as good as Boozy.
The nick our midfield in particular is in Boozy would be an excellent signing!

As good a player as he was, theres no room in an XI for both Miller and Boozy IMO. If we were to bring in another CM the Arfield rumours would satisfy me as he could learn from Miller for the next 12 months, and when Miller moves on either being sold or leaving for free, Arfield could step up into his shoes.

Also, you could argue if we were to sign a CM, its a big bruiser that we need in order to let the likes of Miller, Zemmama and Riordan play. Then a right back, target man and traditional left winger long before a creative deep sitting playmaker.

Is that because its never gonna happen or because you genuinely believe we have better midfielders than Boozy?

I agree. I'd have Boozy in the centre of midfield over Rankin anyday.

Admins should squash this thread like the Matty Jack post. Pure daein ma heed in.That thread was removed because it would start another calling for the return of Jimmy Bocco..then another for the return of Dobbie then another ...well ye get the drift ...:greengrin

When Boozy was fit and on his game there is no argument, he bossed the midfield. He was superb. I also thought he was excellent in the few games he played sweeper.

i would normally agree, but i dont think many will we need a player who can use his vision to distrubute all over the part not just the middle

Yeah - we really need another injury prone out for 20 games a season midfielder

We need a midfielder that will really get stuck in, a ball winner that isn't injury prone, Boozy isn't that man.
