Apparantly shutting down at the end of May and being turned into a wine bar. Dissapointing news as i've been going to The Nip for as long as i've been going to Easter Road. My Dad can't remember a time when he didn't go before a game. There's more here:

I don't know what's worse the fact it will no longer be a 'proper pub' or that The Nip will be converted into a bloody wine bar :bitchy:

the nip - absolutely brilliant before / after any match!

i remember being in there after the 2007 final (well dont remember that much, but remember being in there at least!)

Good news, the wine bar is off, a refurb will instead be taking place. Ya ****ing beuty, pre-match watering hole saved!!!

Glad the wine bar idea is off as I always go in the Nip whenever I'm at ER, but this refurb will be interesting.
