Whats the best Student nights in Edinburgh these days ?. I remember Thursday and Sundays at Establishment, rubbish hip hop music but was 50p a drink or summit. Liquid Rooms on a Wednesday was my favourite night, looking forward to that coming back. Rev on a Monday and Thursday was no bad aswell considering on a Friday or Saturday it was the chaviest place in the world.

Depends if its George Street etc....

(I know alot of people on here dont like that scene from all the orange glowing birds (that they only complain about because they cant pull:wink:) and guys with low and tight V neck jumpers or Tshirts...)

Cav on a sunday no matter what people say is rammed wi fanny, also wednesday @ city is rammed wi birds too.

Both get their fair bit of bother though

If by fanny you mean children then yeah! I've always loved cav, went at christmas and it was awful. Looked like a night for 14-17s. People getting into clubs at 15 is a joke. Birds can use any id with any picture and get in. How they get away with it i'll never know!

I also went to cav on a sunday when I was 18/19 and loved it because pretty much all my mates from uni went and it would be a great laugh. It's always been a young crowd but now it's crap for me because nobody I know goes anymore so it's not the same as it once was. I'm sure it's still good for those in 1st/2nd year of uni though.

The picture house is pretty popular now and I go quite regularly because that's where my mates go but it's not that good and is only really enjoyable if you're hammered.

I think GHQ is pretty popular as well but I've only been once.

Would agree with all those previously mentioned, and would add Octopussy, at the HMV picture house on a thursday.

I would reccommend for students...

Monday Night - Decadance at Lulu, very good music aswell as pretty good drink deals.

Tuesday - Dirty Sexy at Lulu, it's full of flange and again music is good and good drink deals

Or a recently opened ENIGMA at Shanghai - Proving to be very popular!

Wedesday - GHQ, £1 Drinks says it all

Or MANSION underneath Hawke and Hunter, Very nice looking club, good drink deals and the DJ is Phenomenal! Shisha pipes all over the club and a heated smoking area

Thursday - Vanity at Opal Lounge, DJ is brilliant as is the drink prices

Friday - I would choose Electrofied at Bacaro, Only for the music, if you like house music the DJ Dan Rane is one of the best I have heard!

Saturday - Not really anywhere?!

Sunday - Most likely Cav!
