What's the stupidest name for a club you're ever seen? When I were a lad, I used to go to Yip Yap or Dogtastic! Over here in Auckland, the other half used to go to Yer Father's Moustache:greengrin. (surely Petrie had shares in that one).

Deportivo Wanka must be quite high up on any list of daft club names.

I did mean night clubs, but don't want to spoil the fun as a few folk seem to have run with it. Had to get back to work  so couldn't pop in to clarify. Time zones suck!

amature side AC Mill Inn

I played a few games for them to help them out when they were struggling for a keeper (strictly off the record as i was still signed for a senior side at the time).

The name came about because most of the guys used to drink in the Mill Inn pub in Stonehaven in the 80s, they started a team playing in a Sunday league where all the teams had jokey names. They discovered that they were actually pretty decent at football though and the team eventually moved up through the Sunday leagues before applying to join the Saturday amateurs. They worked their way through the divisions and are now in the Aberdeenshire AFA premier league and despite the fact the Mill Inn is now flats and the names a bit unsuitable for a decent level of football, it just stuck and always attracts a fair bit of banter from opposing teams.

Had a team in our 5-a-side league called Real So-SoBad.

Thought that was genius actually!

There used to be an Sunday league team called AC Milanda.

Younger readers might not get the joke.

Edit, it seems they still exist. http://www.acmilanda.co.uk/

Considering the OP is talking about nightclubs 2 that stick out as having rubbish names are Lava Ignite (Cav) in Edinburgh, and Buff Club in Glasgow.

On to football, I went to a 5's tournament and there was some beaut's, from a team of ministers from Fife called Faith Rovers, to a team of not so fit blokes called Real Obese.
