Ribeye is a nicer cut than fillet for me.

Mine would be a rare ribeye steak served with potato dauphinoise, assorted veg and a whisky/cream/pepper sauce.

Any full muscle meat cut that requires a rich sauce is not very good meat. The flavour should be in the meat.

Chicken wrapped in smoked bacon, with pasta and a tomato based sauce. My "signature" dish, and extremely tasty

Ribeye steak cooked just how I like it (no need for fancy sauce just Colmans English Mustard on the side), fried onions, mushy peas and chips.

Grilled Lamb chops as an alternative to the steak also.

:grr: Lucky you. My tea was garbage tonight. Looked good and tasted crap. Most of it went in the bin. Think I'm going to have to demolish a packet of Cadbury mini-eggs to make up for it. :greengrin

If I'm going out for tea, what I would have is Steak Tartare. Best I've ever had was in Schonefeld airport surprisingly! I also love Bratkartoffeln for a snack.

In the house, I could eat Pesto Pasta every night. I also love Gnocchi.

You should get some recipes of the net. Easy to learn to cook some basic pasta dishes, a curry or a stir fry. Or just cheat and go to M&S :greengrin

Smoked Sausage Supper with plenty of Sauce.

Wrong.

It's a jumbo haggis supper with plenty of sauce and a single smoked sausage to keep you going whilst you walk up the road.

Many a fine chippy could make a fair business for themselves by exporting it by the litre...
