Well, if they're going to help out the wasters like Hearts and Rangers, they can put their hands in their pockets and give us a subsidy to complete the stadium.

... which is the whole point. He's no daft, he knows it's controversial, and it's meant to provoke a reaction. Reaction = hits = success.

I have always found Spence to be one of the more rational commentators on BBC Scotland, so it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't actually believe it himself.

with the Yams banking with a foreign bank, would they be exempt from any help? :-)

IMO he was talking about the whole of Scottish football and not just the current buns, though their plight has brought the whole topic to the fore of course.

Having said that... Hell mend em.

This is not a Hibs or Dundee or Motherwell who may have over reached themselves to keep in touch with the competition. This is a club who spent breathtaking sums of money they obviously couldnt afford in order to dominate Scottish football for years to the detriment of the game.

I for one never felt the waves of sympathy coming from the away end or dugout when they were humping us at ER in the 80s and 90s with their sledgehammer to crack a nut approach.

Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind, good riddance.

Absolutely, we had to dig ourselves out of trouble as have a few others, so why no the huns? We keep being told how big a club they are and how they have a world wide fan base etc. Let their own fans put their hands in their pockets, oh no wait they tried that. The huns themselves won't invest in their own club. F*** them, they will just have to down size and live within their means like us all.

:top marksI bet the followers of Motherwell, Dundee, Airdrie, Clydebank, Livingston etc would have loved a bit of extra help from their bank managers when they went into administration/out of existance in the last decade.
The Huns have plenty enough resources to improve their situation at the bank and deserve no more help than anyone else - F*** them!

A sign perhaps - as Dundee's money man hinted - that Arabs finances are not all that? And Jim's letting his personal loyalties cloud his judgement?

There are many other priorities for the banks/Government (given their stake in the banks) to worry about than Scottish football. The game has been systemically raped and is dying off thanks to the OF, three governing bodies and the greed for TV revenues.

To suggest football needs supporting when it has done little to help itself and ensure its wellbeing is misjudged IMHO.

12million pound question, Should they get help?

http://ronaldzwiers.0catch.com/Foto/F/Tore%20Andre%20Flo.jpg

They can get to Flo-k! Years of paying over the odds flashing the cash and bullying other clubs because they have more cash, and now we/banks should help?

Nah......
